BACKGROUND The Railroad Avenue Bike Trail Design Concept will study the proposed Class I bike trail along the east side of Railroad Avenue from Lyons Avenue to Oak Ridge Drive. This prQject is consistent with the City of Santa Clarita's (City) adopted Non -Motorized Transportation Plan, making bicycling more convenient and building a comprehensive citywide bicycle network, and meeting the goals and objectives of the City's General Plan. On October 29, 2014, a Request for Proposal (RFP) was sent to five qualified engineering firms who have previously worked with the City. The RFP asked firms to identify their relevant experience in similar projects and demonstrate their approach to this project. The City received proposals from five firms by December 9, 2014.
