RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
HUMANITIES FOR ALL QUICK GRANT FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SANTA
CLARITA PUBLIC LIBRARY "ONE STORY ONE CITY" PROGRAM USING
DESIGNATED GRANT FUNDS FROM CALIFORNIA HUMANITIES AWARDED TO THE
CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
WHEREAS, California Humanities has awarded the City of Santa Clarita the
Humanities for All Quick Grant Award in the amount of $3,500 for implementation of the Santa
Clarita Public Library program, "One Story One City;" and
WHEREAS, California Humanities' procedure for administering the Humanities for
All Quick Grant Award require, among other things, an Applicant's governing body to declare
by resolution certain authorizations related to the administration of the Humanities for All Quick
Grant Award.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita does hereby
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City of Santa Clarita is authorized to receive the Humanities for All
Quick Grant Award grant funds; and
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or authorized designee, is hereby authorized as
Signature Authority to execute all documents necessary to implement and secure payment under
the grant guidelines; and
SECTION 3. This authorization is effective until December 31, 2017.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
