A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA,
CALIFORNIA, SUMMARILY VACATING AN OFFER OF DEDICATION FOR
PRIVATE AND FUTURE STREET PURPOSES ALONG ALDERBROOK DRIVE,
CREATED ON PARCEL MAP NO. 7045, FILED IN BOOK 114, PAGE 88 OF MAPS
WHEREAS, the offer of dedication being summarily vacated fully meets the
requirements of Section 8331 of the Streets and Highways Code, which states "The legislative
body of a local agency may summarily vacate a street or highway if both of the following
conditions exist: (a) For a period of five consecutive years, the street or highway has been
impassable for vehicular travel; and (b) No public money was expended for maintenance on the
street or highway during such period." The current owner requests that a portion of the dedication
for private and future street purposes be vacated; and
WHEREAS, under Chapter 4, Summary Vacation of Part 3 of Division 9 of the
California Streets and Highways Code, no public hearing is required and no public hearing was
held.
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of Section 8331 of Part 3 of Division
�-- 9 of the California Streets and Highways Code, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita,
California, does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is hereby found and determined that an offer of dedication for
private and future street purposes along the east side of Alderbrook Drive, from Cindy Road to
Cleardale Street, as described in Exhibit `A' Legal Description, and as shown on Exhibit "B"
Exhibit Map, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, which real property located
in the City of Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles, State of California, fully meets the
requirements of Section 8331 of the Streets and Highways Code, which states "The legislative
body of a local agency may summarily vacate a street or highway if both of the following
conditions exist: (a) For a period of five consecutive years, the street or highway has been
impassable for vehicular travel; and (b) No public money was expended for maintenance on the
street or highway during such period," and such offer of dedication is therefore vacated.
SECTION 2. That within the private and future street dedication to be vacated, there
are no public utility facilities that would be affected.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Santa Clarita, California, is instructed
to record the certified original resolution in the office of the Los Angeles County Registrar -
Recorder, at which time the easements summarily vacated will no longer be public service
easements.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.

Legal Description
A strip of land, 20.00 feet wide and variable width for Street Vacation purposes in Parcels 1
through 4 inclusive of Parcel Map No. 7045, in the City of Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, as per map in Book 114, Page 88 of Parcel Maps, in the Office of the County
Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Commencing at the Southerly corner of said Parcel Map;
thence, along the Southwesterly line of said Parcel Map, being also the Northeasterly Right of
Way line of Alderbrook Drive, a private street 40.00 feet wide as shown on said Parcel Map,
North 330 00' 00" West 89.14 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
thence, continuing along said Southwesterly line and said Northeasterly Right of Way line,
North 33' 00' 00" West 737.33 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the
Southeast having a radius of 15.00 feet;
thence, leaving said Southwesterly line and said Northeasterly Right of Way line northwesterly,
northerly, northeasterly and easterly, along last said curve, through a central angle of 1350 00'
00" an arc length of 35.34 feet to a line that is parallel with and 10.00 feet Southerly, measured
at right angles from the Northerly line of said Parcel Map, being also the Southerly Right of Way
line of Cleardale Street, a private and future street 40.00 feet wide as shown on said Parcel
Map;
thence, along said parallel line South 78° 00' 00" East 80.46 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve, concave to the southeast having a radius of 70.00 feet;
thence, leaving said parallel line, southwesterly along last said curve through a central angle of
45' 00' 00" an arc length of 54.98 feet to the beginning of a compound curve, concave to the
east having a radius of 13.00 feet;
thence, southwesterly, southerly and southeasterly along last said curve, through a central
angle of 900 00' 00" an arc length of 20.42 feet to a line that is parallel with and 20.00 feet
Northeasterly, measured at right angles from said Northeasterly Right of Way line of
Alderbrook Drive;
thence, along said parallel line, South 33° 00' 00" East 698.54 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve, concave to the north, having a radius of 13.00 feet;

of 90' 00' 00" an arc length of 20.42 feet to the beginning of a compound curve, concave to the
northwest, having a radius of 70.00 feet.
thence, southwesterly along last said compound curve, through a central angle of 24' 01' 51",
an arc length of 29.36 feet to the beginning of a compound curve, concave to the north having
a radius of 7.59 feet;
thence, southwesterly and westerly along last said compound curve, through a central angle of
