CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Weste called the joint special meeting to order at 8:06 a.m.
ROLL CALL
All Councilmembers were present with Supervisor Barger.
FLAG SALUTE
Supervisor Barger led the flag salute.

Addressing the Council and Supervisor Barger were Diane Zimmerman, Wendy Langhans, Dr.
Gene Dorio, Sue Fischer, Missy (no last name provided), Steve Petzold, Tracy Carpentier, Becki
Basham, Cindy Josten, Cindy Russo, Nancy (no last name provided), Grace Elliott, Marie
Godby, Donald Harlan, Roy Marson, and Glenda (no last name provided).
Two written comment cards were received.
TOPICS OF DISCUSSION
Dialogue was exchanged among Mayor Weste, the City Council, and Supervisor Barger
regarding Hart Park and open space, public safety and Camp Scott, transportation and Antelope
Valley Line, homelessness, and arts; all parties expressed their appreciation for the history of
collaboration and support, as well as looking forward to future opportunities affecting the City
and region.
PRESENTATION
Mayor Weste presented Supervisor Barger with a collage of collaborative projects and the City's
2022 One Story One City book selection, The Nature Fix: Why Nature Makes Us Happier,
Healthier and More Creative.
