CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: SUBJECT: DEPARTMENT: BACKGROUND June 28, 1994 GS-93-94-11, Security Services Contract Award Public Works Due to the pending expiration of the current contract for security services at City Hall and Metrolink facilities (Soledad & Via Princessa) on June 30, 1994, staff is required to obtain pricing by means of formal bid. To facilitate this process, staff advertised a Notice Inviting Bids in the Daily News and the Newhall Signal on June 1, June 5, and June 8, 1994 with a bid opening of June 16, 1994. Staff also mailed copies of the specification package to the Santa Clarita and Canyon Country Chambers of Commerce, the Valencia Industrial Association, and (15) suppliers of which (12) were local who had submitted information to the General Services Division.
