HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-09-13 - AGENDA REPORTS - NEWHALL TASK FORCEAGENDA REPORT City Manager Approval ee--- Item to be presented y: George Caravalho NEW BUSINESS DATE: September 13, 1994 SUBJECT: PROGRESS REPORT ON THE ACTIVITIES OF THE NEWHALL TASK FORCE DEPARTMENT: CITY MANAGER In November, 1993 the City Council directed the Newhall Task Force to initiate the implementation of recommendations and programs identified in the Newhall Study. These recommendations reflected those needs that were identified by the community as being most critical and which demanded the most immediate attention in order to revitalize Newhall. Oberdorfer & Associates and Esther Aguilar held the public participation meetings that led to the recommendations for these projects and programs, This item is a report on the progress made on each of these programs and projects. The Newhall Task Force has been working diligently to implement these programs. Attachment A shows the Newhall Revitalization Program and prioritization of projects as approved by the City Council in November, 1993. It also shows the status of each project and relevant information about progress on those items that have not been completed. Recommendation: That the City Council receive and review information.
