BACKGROUND The City of Santa Clarita (City) is seeking portable sanitation and temporary fencing services for various City parks, facilities, and events. The services provided will be used by Parks and General Services when maintenance of restrooms at various parks and Metrolink stations requires the temporary closure of those facilities. Arts and Events will also use the services to provide portable sanitation services for the attendees of special events throughout the City. Some of the City's seasonal events include the Cowboy Festival in the spring, Concerts in the Park in the summer, the River Rally in the fall, and Light Up Main Street in the winter. In January 2023, the City's Purchasing division, in cooperation with the Arts and Events division, issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Citywide portable sanitation and temporary fencing services. The RFP was publicly advertised on BidNet on January 13, 2023, and 151 Page 1 Packet Pg. 53 O vendors were notified. Eight vendors downloaded the RFP, and one proposal, from Andy Gump, was received and reviewed by staff on February 21, 2023. Based on the City's historical experience with the vendor, the thoroughness of their proposal, and their reasonable cost of services, staff recommends awarding the contract to Andy Gump, Inc., for portable sanitation and temporary fencing services. ALTERNATIVE ACTION Other actions as directed by the City Council. FISCAL IMPACT Adequate funds to support the recommended action have been appropriated in various departmental budgets.
