RESOLUTION NO. 25-10
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA,
CALIFORNIA, SUMMARILY VACATING OFFER OF DEDICATION FOR
FUTURE STREET PURPOSES ALONG SULTUS STREET AND ALONG
SAND CANYON ROAD DEDICATED ON PARCEL MAP NO.7909, FILED IN
BOOK 95, PAGES 17 AND 18 OF MAPS
WHEREAS, the offer of dedication being summarily vacated fuily_meets-the re. uirements
of Section 8331 of the Streets and Highways Code, which states "The Legislative body of a local
agency may summarily vacate a street or highway if both of the following conditions exist: (a)
For a period of five consecutive years, the street or highway has been impassable for vehicular
travel; (b) No public money was expended for maintenance on the -street or. highway during such
period"; and the current owner requests that a portion of the public right-of-way be vacated; and
WHEREAS, under Chapter 4, Summary Vacation of Part 3 of Division 9 of the California
Streets and Highways Code, no public hearing is required and no public hearing was held.
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of the California Streets and Highways
Code, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita, California, does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is hereby found and determined that an offer of dedication for private
and future street purposes, as described in Exhibit "A" legal description, and Exhibit `B" exhibit
map, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, which real property located in the
City of Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles, State of California, fully meets the requirements of
Section 8331 of the Streets and Highways Code, which states "The legislative body of a local
agency may summarily vacate a street or highway if both of the following conditions exist: (a)
For a period of five consecutive years, the street or highway has been impassable for vehicular
travel; (b) No public money was expended for maintenance on the street or highway during such
period"; and such offer of dedication is therefore vacated, subject to Section 2 herein.
SECTION 2. That within the street to be vacated, there are no public utility facilities that
would be affected by the vacation.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Santa Clarita is instructed to record the
certified original resolution in the office of the Registrar -Recorder of the County of Los Angeles,
at which time the easements summarily vacated will no longer be public service easements.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.

COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
That portion of the 50.00 foot wide Future Street, known as Sultus Street, together with the
variable width Future Street of Sand Canyon Road, both lying within Parcel 1 of Parcel Map No.
7909, in the City of Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per Map filed in
Book 95, Pages 17 and 18, of Parcel Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County,
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of said Parcel 1, said point also being on the westerly Right
of Way line of Sand Canyon Road, 40.00 foot wide, as shown on said Parcel Map No. 7909;
thence, along said westerly Right of Way line, South 19' 21' 14" East 34.09 feet;
thence, South 14' 18' 34" East 291.43 feet to the southeast corner of said Parcel 1.
thence, leaving said westerly Right of Way line of, along the southerly line of said Parcel 1,
South 89' 41' 27" West 6.07 feet, to a point on a non -tangent curve, concave westerly having a
radius of 1950.00 feet, said curve being the westerly line of the Future Street of Sand Canyon
Road per said Parcel Map No. 7909, a radial line to said point bears North 79' 26' 44" East;
thence, northwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of 07' 27' 37" an arc length of
253.90 feet to the beginning of a tangent compound curve, concave to the southwest, having a
radius of 27.00 feet;
thence, northwesterly and westerly along last said curve, through a central angle of 72' 17' 40"
an arc length of 34.07 feet to the beginning of a tangent line, said line being the southerly line of
the 50.00 foot wide Future Street per said Parcel Map No. 7909;
thence, along last said southerly line, South 89' 41' 27" West 321.85 feet to a point on the
westerly line of said Parcel 1;
thence, along last said westerly line, North 14' 34' 25" West 51.59 feet to the northwesterly
corner of said Parcel 1,
