A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE LEVY AND
COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS FOR CITY OF SANTA CLARITA DRAINAGE
BENEFIT ASSESSMENT AREA NOS. 3, 6, 18, 19, 20, 22, 24, 33, 35, 2008-1, 2008-2,
2013-1, 2014-1, 2015-1, 2017-1, AND 2017-2 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-26
WHEREAS, the City Council of Santa Clarita (City Council), Calil'6Ra, fc ed special
maintenance districts pursuant to the terms of the Benefit Assessment. -Act of 1922, Chapter 6.4
of Part 1 of Division 2 of Title 5 of the California Government Codes cajPmencingwith Section
54703 (Act), desires to initiate proceedings for Santa Clarita Draina;e Benefit-AlseemeRt Area
Nos. 3, 6, 18, 19, 20, 22, 24, 33, 35, 2008-1, 2008-2, 2013-1, 2014111-, 2M5'-I, 017-4,-and 2017-
2 (Areas) for the levy and collection of assessment within the propo' d Arcs for l~ sca4 Year
2025-26, for the purposes provided therefore in the Act; and -
WHEREAS, the City Council has retained Willdan Financial Services for the purpose of
assisting with the Annual Levy of the Area, and to prepare and file a report with the City Clerk in
accordance with the Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita, California, does
hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Annual Levy Report: The City Council hereby orders Willdan Financial
Services, acting as Assessment Engineer, to prepare and file with the City Clerk the Assessment
Engineer's Annual Levy Report concerning drainage improvements proposed to be installed and
maintained, and the levy and collection of assessments for the Areas as required by provisions of
the Assessment Law.
SECTION 2. Areas Improvements: The maintenance of drainage improvements shall
include the furnishing of services and materials for the ordinary and usual maintenance,
operation, and servicing of the improvements.
SECTION 3. Adoption: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 13th day of May 2025.
