A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA,
CALIFORNIA, INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF
ASSESSMENTS FOR ALL ZONES WITHIN THE OPEN SPACE PRESERVATION
DISTRICT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-26
WHEREAS, the City Council of Santa Clarita (City Council), pursuant to the provisions
of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, being Division 15 of the Stra6tsa4d;Nighways
Code of the State of California (Act), desires to initiate proceedings for -the Open Space -
Preservation District (District) and for the levy and collection of asse snwn6 *'iffirathe proposed
District for Fiscal Year 2025-26, for the purposes provided therefore- in me A(! ; aud-
WHEREAS, the City Council has retained Willdan Financiaf Ser�v.1res'%r tlge purpose of
assisting with the Annual Levy of the District and to prepare and file a_ report with the. ! ity Clerk
in accordance with the Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita, California, does
hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Annual Levy Report: The City Council hereby directs Willdan Financial
Services, acting as Assessment Engineer, to prepare and file with the City Clerk the Assessment
Engineer's Annual Levy Report concerning the installation, construction, or maintenance of any
authorized improvements under the Act, and the levy and collection of assessments for the
`� District as required by the provisions of the Assessment Law.
SECTION 2. District Improvements: The installation, construction, or maintenance of
any authorized improvements under the Act, including, but not limited to, landscape and
irrigation improvements and any facilities which are appurtenant to any of the aforementioned or
which are necessary, or convenient for the maintenance or servicing thereof.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
