CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Miranda called to order the Special meeting of the City Council at 5:33 p.m.
ROLL CALL
All Councilmembers were present.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION FOR AGENDIZED ITEMS
Addressing the City Council was Douglas (no last name provided) regarding mobile home park
litigation concerns.
Joseph Montes, City Attorney, stated that the pending litigation item had no connection to mobile
home parks.
CLOSED SESSION
Joseph Montes, City Attorney, advised of the need to conduct a Closed Session for the purpose
of holding a:
CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION
Initiation of litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(4) - one matter
RECESS TO CLOSED SESSION - TO BE HELD IN THE CARL BOYER ROOM
Mayor Miranda recessed the meeting to Closed Session at 5:34 p.m.
RECONVENE TO OPEN SESSION
Mayor Miranda reconvened the meeting to Open Session at 6:08 p.m.
CITY ATTORNEY ANNOUNCEMENT
City Attorney Joseph Montes announced that the City Council voted unanimously to authorize
the filing of a nuisance abatement action against Tacos Carmelita and its owners, seeking an
order from the court to prohibit them from conducting business until they obtain the necessary
health and other required permits.
ADJOURN
Mayor Miranda adjourned the Special Meeting at 6:09 p.m.
