RECOMMENDED ACTION
City Council:
1. Award a design contract to Architerra Design Group, for design services for the Newhall
Community Center Playground Renovation Project, in the amount of $74,720 and authorize a
contingency in the amount of $7,472 for a total contract amount not to exceed $82,192.
2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all contracts and associated documents,
subject to City Attorney approval.
BACKGROUND
In 2004, the City of Santa Clarita (City) constructed the Newhall Community Center (NCC) to
serve the Newhall community. At the time of construction, programming and community center
activities were designed primarily for teenagers, including the playground on -site. The key
components of the playground consist of a climbing apparatus with spinning seats, climbing
walls and ropes, an inclined balance beam, an overhead track glide, and three sand pits. In 2012,
a shade structure was installed over the play area, and in 2016, the rubberized play surfacing was
replaced.
Since 2004, the programming and activity needs of the community center have significantly
changed, transitioning from primarily teenage users to school -aged children ages 5 to 12. While
NCC continues to serve teenagers, the vast majority of programming and services have shifted to
evolve with the needs of the community. However, the existing playground equipment remains
largely unchanged and is no longer age -appropriate.

Supporting the theme of Sustainable Public Infrastructure in Santa Clarita Pathway Forward, the
City's five-year strategic plan, the proposed contract will provide design services for a new
playground, which will maximize the use of the existing space and provide an equipment layout
appropriate for children ages 5 to 12 years old. The new equipment is expected to have a variety
of play panels, musical elements, and inclusive components, as well as slides, elevated platforms,
and climbing equipment.
The scope of work for this design contract includes concept design, community outreach
meetings, playground equipment design, engineering, and landscape design services required to
prepare construction documents. These documents will consist of complete plans, specifications,
and engineer's estimates for construction. The design process is expected to have a duration of
approximately six months. Construction is anticipated in spring of 2027.
In February 2026, the City released a Request for Proposal (RFP) inviting interested firms to
submit proposals for the design of the new playground at the NCC. The RFP solicited firms to
identify their relevant experience on similar projects, provide evidence of qualifications, and
demonstrate their approach for this design project. The City transmitted the solicitation to 4,434
vendors on BidNet, of which 110 vendors downloaded the materials. A total of four proposals
were submitted and opened on March 9, 2026.
The four proposals were evaluated by a panel of City staff who ranked each proposal based on
the following:
• The content, format, and completeness of the written proposal, quality and
professionalism of the proposal: 25 points
• Demonstrated understanding of the described project and scope of work, submitted
design concept and recommendations for the Newhall Community Center playground:
25 points
• Consultant and subconsultant experience on similar projects (including detailed
portfolio of examples), as well as perceived technical competence and creative ability:
25 points.
• Total cost of services and overall best value to the City: 25 points
The evaluation team scored the responses based on a 100-point system, with the results outlined
below:

In reviewing proposals, the evaluation team awarded the highest score to Architerra Design
Group (ADG). The evaluation team determined that ADG's proposal offered the best overall
value to meet the playground design needs.
Staff has completed a due diligence review of ADG's professional references and determined its
work history meets the City's standards and performance expectations. Architect Design Group
possesses over 35 years of experience providing landscape architectural design services to public
agencies, specializing in park retrofit projects. Based on the above, staff recommends awarding
the contract to ADG. The proposal is available in the City Clerk's reading file.
California Government Code 4526 prescribes the selection of architectural and engineering
services to be based on demonstrated competence and professional qualifications necessary for
the satisfactory performance of the services required and does not authorize the selection of
professional architect and engineering services based on cost. City staff was able to reach an
agreement with ADG at a fair and reasonable price.

Dear Selection Committee,
Architerra Design Group ("ADG") is pleased to submit our proposal for the Newhall Community Center
Playground Design Projectforthe Cityof Santa Clarita ("City"). With over35yearsofexperience providing
landscape architectural design services to public agencies, we offer the depth, responsiveness, and
reliability needed to design a new playground to serve the needs of the community center.
Founded in 1991, ADG has been a longstanding partner to public agencies, providing a full range of
landscape architectural services including park retrofit projects. Our firm embodies the core values
of Professionalism, Accountability, Respect, Integrity, Excellence, and Stewardship. These values are
reflected in our lasting client relationships. We are also proud recipients of multiple design awards from
the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), American Public Works Association (APWA),

We understand that the City is seeking a well -qualified and experienced consultant to design and
provide construction documents for this project. The consultant should be able to handle all necessary
services, including investigations, studies, landscape architecture, and civil engineering, to deliver a
complete set of plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Within this proposal we will share our similar
work experience, key personnel and their resumes, a work statement, concept plan, project schedule
and sub consultant team. We are confident in our skills, experience, and capacity to effectively meet
the Newhall Playground -Design project needs.
As Co -Owner and President, I am the authorized principal to submit proposals and negotiate fees and
terms on behalf of ADG. I have read and understand the RFQ in its entirety and have the intention to
adhere to the provisions described in the RFQ without modification. This proposal is valid for 120-days
from the date of submittal. All required forms are completed, signed and in the Appendix.

Over our 35+ years in business, ADG strives to deliver high quality work

ADG prioritized client satisfaction through multiple stages of
community outreach, delivering a universally accessible and
visually vibrant space that the community enthusiastically
embraces and uses daily. We ensured timeliness by proactively
resolving a building and safety plan check issue via direct,
responsive engagement with the City and key disciplines.
Our team demonstrated exceptional responsiveness in addressing
scope and design challenges, including swift coordination with
the City to replace a fallen oak tree and reposition a restroom
to align with CPTED principles while minimizing neighbor impact.
Additionally, ADG optimized the budget by skillfully incorporating
community -requested elements into the compact footprint, such

DOMINGUEZ PARK
Redondo Beach, CA
The City of Redondo Beach hired ADG to create a conceptual
landscape master plan and construction documents for the
Dominguez Park playground renovation. The project's goal was to
revitalize the park's 1.25-acre playground area, which is part of the
larger 24-acre park. The plan called for several key improvements,
including replacing outdated equipment with new, Chemed
playground structures and installing new rubberized surfacing
for enhanced safety. The project also focused on improving
accessibility by creating new ADA-compliant pathways and
developing a new, improved trail system within the playground
area.
ADG successfully delivered both the conceptual master plan and
the final construction documents, providing the City of Redondo
Beach with a comprehensive plan to bring the redesigned
playground to Iife.The projectis nowcomplete, and the community
can enjoy a modern, safe, and accessible play area.

Winnerof the American Public Works Association (APWA) Southern
California B.E.S.T. Project of the Year in 2025 in the Recreational and
Athletic Facility Category, the goal of this project was to transform
the park into a safer, more community -friendly environment. Our
scope of work included the design of the planting, irrigation, and
hardscape for the park's interior.
A key element of our design was a meandering, ADA-accessible
concrete path that encircles the park. This path was carefully
planned in collaboration with L.D. King Civil Engineering to
maximize its walking benefits while preserving the park's existing
mature trees. Our design also included a new playground
addition, while ensuring the existing playground equipment in
the northern section would remain. The planting plan specifically
featured drought -tolerant trees and shrubs to align with sustainable
landscape practices. This completed project has successfully
provided the community with an updated, functional, and
beautiful public space.

20-ACRE NATURE PARK
Wildomar, CA
ADG is currently preparing the complete design package fora new
20-acre passive park. Our work for this project includes all phases
of design, from the Conceptual Design and Design Development
through to the Construction Documents, Specifications, and Cost
Estimate.
The goal is to create a multi -functional green space with a
wide range of amenities for the community. The planned
features include a new parking lot, a permanent restroom,
and a pedestrian bridge to connect to the main park. We are
also designing a complete trail system, shade shelters, and an
additional permanent restroom near the Gierson Street parking
area. The construction document packages will be fully detailed,
providing all necessary specifications and cost estimates to ensure
the project can move smoothly into the construction phase.

ASLA Honor Award winning 1.76-acre nature park located in the
Wilton Heights Historic District of Pomona, California. The passive
nature -oriented park was developed with extensive community
input with the goal of creating a space that encouraged
health, wellness, and educational opportunities. Site is divided
into five main planting areas featuring with trails traversing an
Oak Woodland Garden, Riparian Woodland Garden, Meadow
Grassland Garden, Pollinator Garden as well as a Historic Citrus
Grove.
The Garden Trail is a 1/4 mile track with the Meadow Trail being an
1/8 mile loop. All the gardens highlight local plant communities
from the surrounding Pomona and San Gabriel Valley and offer
several opportunities for interpretation and discovery.

The City of Santa Clarita seeks to replace the existing playground at the Newhall
Community Center with a new facility designed specifically for children ages 5-12. The
new playground will maximize the use of the existing site, provide safe and inclusive play
opportunities, and incorporate landscape and site improvements that support
accessibility, sustainability, and long-term maintenance. New equipment is expected to
include a variety of play panels, musical elements, inclusive components, slides, elevated
platforms, and climbing equipment.
The estimated value of the design contract is $75,000. At the request of the City, ADG
shall also handle the processing of the plans; a fee is included in this proposal to cover
that scope.
Project Approach
Our team will partner closely with City staff and stakeholders to deliver a playground
design that reflects community needs while meeting technical, budgetary, and
regulatory requirements. We will:
• Engage stakeholders and community members through public outreach sessions
to ensure the design reflects local priorities.
• Develop three design concepts to explore layout, play features, shade structures,
and site amenities. (including the initial conceptual design with this submittal)
• Manage the subconsultant team including civil engineering, structural
engineering, and electrical engineering.
• Prioritize safety, accessibility, and sustainability, for compliance with ADA, City
codes, and BAP, while selecting durable, low -maintenance materials suited to
Santa Clarita's climate. We will work with the playground manufacturer
Landscape Structures, LSI, who's products are made in the USA, to comply with
the BABA.
• Provide clear and coordinated construction documents with phased review at
25%, 75%, and 95% completion.
• Agency Processing of completed plans, with ADG proactively providing and
addressing all necessary documents and materials for agency review and for the
issuance of building permits by the City's Building and Safety staff (and all other
applicable parties if required). The submittals will be delivered electronically per
Santa Claritas Building and Safety standards.
• Bidding and construction support, as requested, to for smooth implementation
and adherence to design intent. Provided as an "optional" service.

to provide updated amenities.

Signal Hill and soon to be constructed, Ketchum & Libolt Park in Costa Mesa. ADG
prepared the conceptual design and construction documents for Hillbrook Park and was
contracted by the City to manage the construction process to completion. The park
featured a comprehensive 5-12 year old playground, robust shade sails, enhanced
paving and seating areas, as well as a robust planting design enhancing the aesthetics
of the neighborhood in which it resides.
The City needs a consultant team with proven experience with successful park renovation
projects.
ADG, with over 30 years of park renovations and multiple ASLA and CPRS awards has
worked with our team of sub consultants on many projects as listed in our "Key Personnel"
section. We have confidence in the team and their work product, having collaborated
for over 15-years and having won awards on collaborated projects.
The City needs a consultant adept at providing presentations to City staff, along with
community groups, City Council and recreation commission meetings.
Our history includes the proven successful ability to gather and understand the creativity
and vision of the community. We will use illustrative conceptual design graphics and
amenities boards for further assessment and presentation to community groups, City
Council and Staff. Much as we did recently with the Desi House Project for the Jurupa
Community Services District, Phil & Nell Soto & Hamilton Parks in Pomona, and Hillbrook
Park in Signal Hill. We will create compelling graphics and story boards fully illustrating the
conceptual and practical solutions behind our design presentations, along with
handouts for the meetings.
Assumptions/Exceptions
If requested ADG can provide the City with an English and Spanish version of
handouts for the community/outreach meetings.
Outsourcing 3D rendering services are excluded from our fee, as Landscape
Structures, LSI, will provide renderings of the play area at no cost to the City. The
City can expect 3D renderings of the proposed play designs (3 total) provided by
manufacturer as well as a 3D fly through of the preferred play and shade
equipment, one total. The renderings will however exclude the adjacent
environment and hardscape/planting design outside the playground and shade
equipment scope. More detailed renderings that encompass the adjacent
hardscape, landscape, & surrounding environment could be provided if
requested at a later time through our subconsultant 3Dlkon, who will provide a
quote.
• Structural engineering is an estimated fee from the Playground and Shade
manufacturer (LSI) based off the proposed concept. When a design is selected,
ADG can reach out to the manufacturer for an updated quote to provide the City
for their approval.
Bidding and construction support are an optional fee based off the scope
requirements in the RFP.

• ADG assumes Geotechnical Engineering is not required, however ADG did reach
out for a quote from Geotek, Geotechnical Engineering to provide the City a fee
for reference if it is later needed. The fee is for the work if required is $5,902.
ADG assumes that the playground improvements will not require any
modifications to the adjacent parking lot or drive aisles. If at a later date the
scope of work expands to the parking lot, ADG can discuss with the City
expanding our original fee to include the new scope.
During the non -mandatory pre -bid meeting, the City stated that 1-2 conceptual
playground designs would be acceptable for the purposes of this proposal. ADG
has prepared two conceptual play designs to showcase our creativity in
collaboration with Landscape Structures (LSI), one being a more "traditional" play
design, and the other being a nature -play inspired playground utilizing the LSI
Forma Products. The playground structures pictured in the "traditional" 3D
rendering is estimated to cost 245k pre-tax and freight and it's estimated the
shade sails will cost 55K pre-tax and freight. The playground structures pictured in
the "Nature -Play" 3D rendering is estimated to cost 155k pre-tax and freight and
it's estimated the shade sails will cost 55K pre-tax and freight. Anticipated
hardscape improvements, rubberized surfacing, planting & irrigation will be
designed to keep the overall cost at or below the listed budget, in the RFP.
Our Scope of Services are further detailed below and are listed in order of anticipated
completion.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
ADG has reviewed the scope of service requirements as identified in the RFP. Based on
these requirements, ADG, and its team of sub consultants, agree to provide the following
services for the park site as indicated below. All designs will be prepared in accordance
with ADA guidelines. Subconsultant proposals are included in our separate fee envelope
to provide further detail.
TASK 1. Project Management
Project Kick Off Meeting with staff to review program, scope, budget, schedule &
pertinent details. (one virtual)
2. Provide a detailed project schedule with major milestones along with bi-weekly
status reports highlighting short-term progress.
3. Maintain regular communication with City staff and conduct biweekly meetings to
review project scope, initial concept plan, drawings specification and other
planning document review. (twelve virtual meetings)
4. Participate in two public outreach outreach/workshop meetings, one at 25%
completion and a second at 75% plan completion as detailed in Task 3.
5. City and Agency review meetings, one with City staff and another with the Building
and Safety department (2 total), after the delivery of the 95% construction
document plan set to prepare for the final submittal of the plans with required
documentation.

6. Consultant Coordination - Proactively initiate communications efforts between the
design team to address key issues timely.
7. Provide agendas of items for discussion, and meeting minutes listing actions and
follow-up items for team distribution. Agendas to be distributed 48 hours before the
meetings and meeting minutes within 48 hours after the meetings.
8. Provide necessary visual presentation materials necessary for the design meetings.
TASK 2. Preliminary Investigation (by ADG, Civil Engineer- L.D. King, & JCA Electrical
Engineer)
Prepare a topographic survey of existing facilities, site features and elevations. The
survey will include existing property line/boundary monuments based off record
maps deeds, etc. Horizontal and vertical controls will be established during this time
as well. (L.D. King)
2. Research & identify existing on -site utilities for the purpose of creating an accurate
base file (L.D. King)
3. Site Visit/Reconnaissance by ADG and JCA - Review existing conditions, site
furnishings, grades, stormwater infrastructure, water service, landscape,
hardscape, irrigation, electrical services, etc. Meet with City staff to discuss key
issues and make recommendations. Prepare a memo that identifies key issues and
makes recommendations.
TASK 3. Design
1. Research and review base data documents including as -built improvement plans,
utility information, existing pavement, water services, irrigation, and soils
information, and other available record data.
2. Prepare AutoCAD Base sheet development based on Civil survey at '/4"=1'-0"
Scale.
3. Preparation of three draft conceptual design sketches (including one within
proposal). Proposed design solutions will be used for review and comment by City.
Design sketches will also be used to discuss initial construction budgets.
4. Meet with City staff to review the initial design concepts, receive feedback, and
prepare for the first community outreach.
5. Update designs based on feedback from City staff. Revisions anticipated to be
minor.
6. Rendering of conceptual design plans.
7. Preparation of Project Theme and Materials Board. Board to include photos of
proposed site amenities, plant materials, hardscape, and finishes.
8. 3D Renderings of the three proposed playgrounds to be supplied by Landscape
Structures.

9. Prepare and present the refined design options, along with cost estimates (25%) to
the City. Include plant palettes, photo boards and conceptual colored plan views.
10. Preparation of Preliminary Cost Estimate. (25% Review)
11. Prepare plans, exhibits, photos, in color, as necessary for presentation to the City
Council, advisory committees, commissions, community outreach/workshop
meetings, etc. (12 bi-weekly meetings, 2 community outreach meetings, and 2
agency review meetings, 16 meetings total as outlined in Task 1.)
12. Lead and facilitate community outreach/workshop meetings and present at least
three concept drawing options at community outreach/workshop meetings to
gain community input. (one 25% outreach meetings total as outlined in Task 1.)
13. Incorporate City and community input to finalize draft landscape concept plan for
final City approval (25% submittal).
14. Video demo 3D fly through of the playground of the preferred design solution to
be supplied by Landscape Structures.
PS&E will be provided at levels of completion of approximately 25% (finalized conceptual
design), 75% (construction document draft), and 95% (construction document)
completion. The City will provide review comments at the concept, 25%, 75%, and 95%
design stage. Plans will conform to City standard plans and will be prepared utilizing
AutoCAD software. Copies of AutoCAD files will accompany each level of plan submittal.
All work identified herein will be performed by Professional Engineers and Licensed
Landscape Architect as applicable. Project plans will include, but are not limited, to the
following:
15. Title sheet preparation.
16. Base Sheet Preparation @ 1/4" =V-0" (scale), on 30"x42" sheet format, one sheet
total.
17. Prepare Demolition Plans by ADG indicating all removals and items to remain.
18. Prepare Construction Plans at a scale of 1 /4" =1 '-0" for layout and detailing of
hardscape, property lines and fencing, etc. All construction will be per the Standard
Specifications for Los Angeles County and City of Santa Clarita Standards, as
appropriate.
19. Prepare Construction Detail for all proposed amenities, including an enlargement
detail of the rubberized surfacing & playground equipment components.
20. Electrical Engineering Plans (by JCA) to include preparing electrical construction
documents for the required lighting (either pole mounted or shade sail mounted,
depending on necessary calculations) around the playground area. Design
includes Title 24 Energy Calculations and Photometric Illumination plans. JCA's
proposal is included with our fee summary sheet for further detail of services.
21. Civil Grading and Drainage plans (by L.D. King). Plans will include existing and
proposed improvements, utility base mapping, stormwater quality improvements,
etc. Where necessary, the plans shall define limits and extent of work pertaining to

any grading, curb, gutter, sidewalk, stormwater BMPs, ADA upgrades and site
access routes, etc.
22. Prepare Landscape Planting plans. Plans shall include landscaping, plants &
materials, layout, and features. The plans shall be at a scale of 1/4"=1'-0". Prepare
documentation necessary to comply with the City's Water Efficient Landscape
Ordinance.
23. Prepare Landscape Irrigation plans. Plans shall include irrigation components,
architectural components, layout, and features. The plans shall be at a scale of
1/4"=1'-0". Prepare documentation necessary to comply with the City's Water
Efficient Landscape Ordinance. New Irrigation system shall be designed in a
manner to work with the existing on -site system and will be coordinated with the
City's Park Maintenance Staff.
24. Prepare Water Efficiency Landscape Worksheet.
25. Prepare 2 Irrigation Controller Charts. *
26. Prepare Planting and Irrigation Detail per City Standards.
27. Collect onsite soil sample and provide Agronomic Soils Test and Soils Management
Report. * Outside lab testing will be billed as a reimbursable expense.
28. Prepare Annual Irrigation and Planting Maintenance Schedule.
29. In -House plan checking.
30. Submit 75% and 95%completion plans for City's review and comments. Revise plans
based on City comments.
31. Lead and facilitate community outreach/workshop meetings and present 75%
complete construction document set to community for input. (one 75% outreach
meetings total as outlined in Task 1.)
32. In -House Plan check corrections.
33. Prepare and adjust as needed construction cost estimates, at 75% and 95% design
progress with quantity calculations and final estimated cost in accordance with
City requirements to meet established project construction budget of $750,000.
34. City staff will prepare general contract provisions. ADG will prepare all technical
specifications and special provisions. The City will provide boilerplate specifications.
Special provisions will be prepared by ADG in coordination and reviewwith the City.
Latest Greenbook standards may be utilized. (book form)
35. Structural Engineering by LSI and Skyways for the play structures and shade sails.
Fee is based off an initial concept and will be updated after the final concept
selection if needed.

TASK 4. Plan Review and Permits
Package coordination for submittal to appropriate agencies, City of Santa Clarita
Planning and the Building and Safety Departments. Submittals will be done in
electronic format until such time the plans are approved for issuance of a building
permit. This will be for all applicable required submittals.
2. Agency plan check corrections as required by all applicable parties.
TASK 5. "Optional" Construction Support
1. Attend the pre -construction meeting, initialjob walk, and job -site meetings over the
course of the construction schedule. Job site meetings will be weekly as needed.
(26 visits total)
2. Preparation of site review reports for submittal to Client for review, and contractor
for correction. (26 reports total)
3. Review/approve submittals and provide response to contractor's requests for
information (RFI) about the plans and specifications forwarded to the Consultant
by the City. This task includes conferring with the City's Construction Manager
regarding the RFI, as appropriate.
4. Review and approve shop drawings, as needed.
5. Provide construction bulletins indicating changes to the approved plans through
the use of delta clouds and letters describing the changes to be distributed to all
applicable parties, as needed.
6. Review change order requests to advise the City of their validity.
7. Monthly meetings with the City to provide updates to staff regarding construction
progress. 6 meetings (virtual)
8. Final on -site job walk for certification of substantial completion.
9. Utilize DropBox for coordinating and managing construction related documents,
such as RFI's, addenda's, submittals, plan revisions, etc., for City access and
organization.
10. Provide As-Built's based off contractors redlines for the irrigation plans, to be
provided in both CAD and PDF format.
11. Electrical Engineering Construction Administration and shop drawing review
provided by JCA.
12. Civil Engineering Construction Administration for RFI's, submittals, and pre -con and
weekly construction meetings when necessary. L.D. King will also review any
construction change order requests as needed.

1. SUMMARY OF CONTRACTUAL REQUIRMENTS
a. A contract is required for any service performed on behalf of the City of Santa Clarita (City).
b. By submitting a proposal, you have reviewed the sample contract documents contained within this
request for proposals and agree to be bound by the requirements set forth.
c. Questions and requests for modification of these terms must be negotiated and approved prior to
proposal submission and are at the full discretion of the City.
2. SUMMARY OF INDEMNITY AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
a. These are the Indemnity and Insurance Requirements for Contractors providing services or supplies to
City of Santa Clarita (City). By agreeing to perform the work or submitting a proposal, you verify that you
comply with and agree to be bound by these requirements. if any additional Contract documents are
executed, the actual Indemnity language and Insurance Requirements may include additional provisions
as deemed appropriate by City's Purchasing Agent.
b. You should check with your Insurance advisors to verify compliance and determine if additional
coverage or limits may be needed to adequately insure your obligations under this agreement. These are
the minimum required and do not in any way represent or imply that such coverage is sufficient to
adequately cover the Contractor's liability under this agreement. The full coverage and limits afforded
under Contractor's policies of Insurance shall be available to Buyer and these Insurance Requirements
shall not in any way act to reduce coverage that is broader or includes higher limits than those required.
The Insurance obligations under this agreement shall be: 1—all the Insurance coverage and limits carried
by or available to the Contractor; or 2—the minimum Insurance requirements shown in this agreement,
whichever is greater. Any insurance proceeds in excess of the specified minimum limits and coverage
required, which are applicable to a given loss, shall be available to City.
c. Contractor shall furnish the City with original Certificates of Insurance including all required amendatory
endorsements and a copy of the Declarations and Endorsement Page of the CGL policy listing all policy
endorsements to City before work begins. City reserves the right to require full -certified copies of all
Insurance coverage and endorsements.
3. INDEMNIFICATION
a. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CONSULTANT shall defend (with legal counsel reasonably
acceptable to CITY), indemnify and hold harmless CITY and its officers, agents, departments, officials,
representatives and employees (collectively "Indemnitees") from and against any and all claims, loss, cost,
damage, injury (including, without limitation, economic harm, injury to or death of an employee of
CONSULTANT or its subconsultants), expense and liability of every kind, nature and description that arise

from or relate to (including, without limitation, incidental and consequential damages, court costs,
attorneys' fees, litigation expenses and fees of expert consultants or expert witnesses incurred in
connection therewith and costs of investigation) that arise from or relate to, directly or indirectly, in whole
or in part, from: (1) CONSULTANT's performance of Services under this Agreement, or any part thereof;
(2) any negligent act or omission of CONSULTANT, any subconsultant, anyone directly or indirectly
employed by them, or anyone that they control; (3) any actual or alleged infringement of the patent rights,
copyright, trade secret, trade name, trademark, service mark or any other intellectual or proprietary right
of any person or persons in consequence of the use by CITY, or any other Indemnitee, of articles or
Services to be supplied in the performance of this Agreement; or (4) any breach of this Agreement
(collectively "Liabilities"). Such obligations to defend, hold harmless and indemnify any Indemnitee shall
not apply to the extent such Liabilities are caused by the sole negligence or willful misconduct of such
Indemnitee, but shall apply to all other Liabilities. The foregoing shall be subject to the limitations of
California Civil Code section 2782.8 as to any design professional services performed by CONSULTANT and
in particular the limitation on CONSULTANT's duty to defend whereby such duty only arises for claims
relating to the negligence, recklessness or willful misconduct of CONSULTANT as well as the limitation on
the cost to defend whereby CONSULTANT will only bear such cost in proportion to CONSULTANT's
proportionate percentage of fault (except as otherwise provided in section 2782.8).
b. The foregoing indemnification provisions will not reduce or affect other rights or obligations which
would otherwise exist in favor of the CITY and other Indemnitees.
c. CONSULTANT shall place in its subconsulting agreements and cause its subconsultants to agree to
indemnities and insurance obligations in favor of CITY and other Indemnitees in the exact form and
substance of those contained in this Agreement.
4. INSURANCE
a. Before commencing performance under this Agreement, and at all other times this Agreement is
effective, CONSULTANT will procure and maintain the following types of insurance with coverage limits
complying, at a minimum, with the limits set forth below:

b. Commercial general liability insurance will meet or exceed the requirements of ISO-CGL Form No. CG
00 011185 or 88. The amount of insurance set forth above will be a combined single limit per occurrence
for bodily injury, personal injury, and property damage for the policy coverage. Automobile coverage will
be written on ISO Business Auto Coverage Form CA 00 0106 92, including symbol 1(Any Auto). Liability
policies will be endorsed to name CITY, its officials, and employees as "additional insureds" under said
insurance coverage and to state that such insurance will be deemed "primary" such that any other
insurance that may be carried by CITY will be excess thereto. Such endorsement must be reflected on ISO
Form No. CG 20 10 1185 or 88, or equivalent. Such insurance will be on an "occurrence," not a "claims

made," basis and will not be cancelable or subject to reduction except upon thirty (30) days prior written
notice to CITY.
c. Professional liability coverage will be on an "occurrence basis" if such coverage is available, or on a
"claims made" basis if not available. When coverage is provided on a "claims made basis," CONSULTANT
will continue to renew the insurance for a period of at least three (3) years after this Agreement expires
or is terminated. Such insurance will have the same coverage and limits as the policy that was in effect
during the term of this Agreement, and will cover CONSULTANT for all claims made by CITY arising out of
any errors or omissions of CONSULTANT, or its officers, employees or agents during the time this
Agreement was in effect.
d. CONSULTANT will furnish to CITY duly authenticated Certificates of Insurance evidencing maintenance
of the insurance required under this Agreement, including endorsements, and such other evidence of
insurance or copies of policies as may be reasonably required by CITY from time to time. Insurance must
be placed with California -admitted insurers with (other than workers compensation) a current A.M. Best
Company Rating of at least "A:VII."
e. Waiver of Subrogation: The insurer(s) agree to waive all rights of subrogation against CITY, its elected
or appointed officers, officials, agents, volunteers and employees for losses paid under the terms of the
workers compensation policy which arise from work performed by CONSULTANTfor CITY.
f. Should CONSULTANT, for any reason, fail to obtain and maintain the insurance required by this
Agreement, CITY may obtain such coverage at CONSULTANT's expense and deduct the cost of such
insurance from payments due to CONSULTANT under this Agreement or terminate pursuant to
TERMINATION section. In the alternative, should CONSULTANT fail to meet any of the insurance
requirements under this Agreement, City may terminate this Agreement immediately with no penalty.
g. Should CONSULTANT'S insurance required by this Agreement be cancelled at any point prior to
expiration of the policy, CONSULTANT must notify City within 24 hours of receipt of notice of cancellation.
Furthermore, CONSULTANT must obtain replacement coverage that meets all contractual requirements
within 10 days of the prior insurer's issuance of notice of cancellation. CONSULTANT must ensure that
there is no lapse in coverage.
h. The CITY shall be entitled to any coverage in excess of the minimums required herein.
I have read and understand the above requirements and agree to be bound by them for any work
performed for the City.

SCOPE OF SERVICES
1. Provide visit to site for field investigation/documentation of existing site conditions and existing site
main service.
2. Design of power distribution from existing main service to new LED parking lot light fixtures, including
controls.
3. Design of pole mounted playground area security lighting to meet Owners requirements.
4. Provide structural pole base calculation.
5. Design playground area security lighting mounted to shade sail support poles to meet Owners
requirements
6. Design power connection to new irrigation controller.
7. Provide calculation to determine the load of the existing site metered service. Owner shall provide
copy of the utility bills for the last 12 months.
8. Provide exterior photometric illumination plan, if required.
9. Provide California registered Electrical Engineer's review, stamp and signature.
10. Provide revisions necessary as a part of DSA; submit construction documents for bid issue and
construction.
11. Respond to requests for information.
12. Prepare any addenda as necessary.
13. Review all shop drawings relating to the electrical work for compliance with the construction
documents.
SERVICES NOT INCLUDED:
1. Soils testing and reports. Client shall provide to Consultant for use in structural calculations.
2. Design of new street lighting or structural pole base calculations.
3. Fees, submittals, processing or approval of electrical drawings with local Building Department.
4. Fabrication of electronic site plan, Client shall provide scaled electronic site plan.
5. Design of site electronic surveillance system headend, active components, raceways, cabling, power
outlets or devices.
6. Design of any components for communication or access control systems.

7. Design of playground area to meet all building codes presently adopted by the authority having
jurisdiction
8. Investigation and documentation of "as built" electrical if existing drawings are unavailable. Field
investigation by consultant is limited to visual observation of panels and overcurrent devices without
exposing live parts. Owner shall furnish licensed electrician if necessary to determine panel
capacity.
9. Designing replacement of existing main switchboard if inadequate for revised and new loads
10. Design of remedial electrical work where existing conditions are in violation of California Electric
Code. (C.E.C.)
11. Providing Outdoor Title 24 calculations.

TERMS OF AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICE
Article 1 BASIC SERVICES
1.1 Consultant shall coordinate with Client with respect to the Consultant's services in such a way
that Consultant's duties and responsibilities shall be co -extensive with those of Client.
Consultant shall perform his services in character, sequence, and timing so that they will be
coordinated with services of Client and other Consultants for the project. Consultant's
services will proceed after adequate base sheets and/or Client furnishes other information
necessary. The Consultant's services shall conform to the original schedule and budget for
the project as provided by the Client. The relationship of Consultant to the Client shall be that
of an independent contractor performing professional services for Client in accordance with
this Agreement.
1.2 Consultant shall comply with all Electrical Building Department rules and regulations that will
affect this design on this project.
1.3 Consultant shall provide a complete set of design documents including all schedules, details,
diagrams, legends and specifications (if required). Consultant shall furnish at his client all
progress prints and specifications required.
1.4 Consultant shall review all electrically related shop drawings as submitted by the Electrical
Contractor to ensure compliance with specifications.
1.5 Consultant shall perform the services as set forth on "Exhibit A", attached.
Article 2 DOCUMENT SUPPORT
2.1 Document support shall include Building Department or Division of State Architects review
changes, Building Department or Division of State Architects responses and request for
information.
2.2 Document support shall be considered as part of the contract, if required, regardless of the
extensiveness of support required on the project.
Article 3 CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTARTION
Construction administration shall include addenda items due to changes, estimated construction cost,
providing bid list, pre bid meeting, pre -construction meeting, change order review, shop drawing
review, meetings during construction, site visits during construction video meetings during construction,
conference calls during construction and final site inspection/punch list.

Article 4 WORK NOT INCLUDED / EXTRA SERVICES

4.1 All Building Department Fees: Consultant shall provide drawings as required to submit
electrical construction documents for the Building Department plan check. Client shall pay all
Building Department fees.
4.2 Printing: Client shall furnish at his expense information and progress prints of the work
required for this project. Prints required by reviewing agencies. Documents required for
bidding and construction shall be paid for by Client or Consultant shall pay for blueprinting
and Client will reimburse. Client shall pay for final prints and specifications furnished to
Consultant. Mylar final prints shall be paid for by Client or Consultant shall pay and Client will
reimburse. Reimbursable invoice for additional prints shall include blueprint cost, plus 15% for
any applicable governmental fees, outside vender reproduction cost, in house reproduction
costs, mileage and delivery or messenger services incurred on client's behalf
4.3 Additional work/revisions: No additional services shall be performed without written direction
from Client. Consultant shall be paid by Client for any additional work resulting from changes
or revisions made by the Client or Project Owner and also for any additional work not
specifically mentioned in Articles 1 and 2 above, as provided in paragraph 5.1.
COMPENSATION
5.1 Client shall pay Consultant amount stated in "FEE SCHEDULE", page 1.
5.2 Client shall pay Consultant for Article 3 "Work Not Included/Extra Services/Construction
Support" for changes or revisions per paragraph 4.3 at the hourly rates as set forth in
paragraph 4.3.
5.3 For the purposes of hourly services and/or revisions for the basic services, the Consultant
shall invoice the Client at the following rates:
Project Engineer/Manager $ 240.00
Designer $ 190.00
Drafting/CADD $ 175.00
Clerical/Delivery/Accounting $ 160.00
These hourly rates shall be adjusted annually based on increases in product cost, the cost of
living and fuel prices.
INVOICE AND PAYMENTS
6.1 At Building Department or Division of State Architects submittal project shall be considered
80%. Consultant shall tender an 80% invoice to Client setting forth all amounts due. Client
shall completely pay 80% invoice prior to final building department or division of state
architects submittal or electrical drawings will not be stamped or wet signed
6.2 When project is approved by the Building Department, Division of State Architects or
published for bid the Electrical Construction Documents shall be considered 100%.
Consultant shall tender a 20% invoice (Total amount for Construction Documents 100%) to
Client setting forth all amounts due.
6.3 During design and construction phase Consultant shall tender an invoice to Client setting forth
the amounts due for Construction Administration and reimbursable expenses.
6.4 Projects that do not require Construction Administration shall not be invoiced.
6.5 Items in FEE SCHEDULE noted as "if required" and note provided shall not be invoiced
6.6 At completion of project Client shall provide written notification to Consultant when they are
doing final billings to Owner. Closing out project without written notification to Consultant does
not relieve Client of complete payment of all amounts. After notification Consultant shall
tender an invoice to Client setting forth the final amounts due for Construction Administration
and reimbursable expenses, as required.

6.7 Client shall pay to consultant the total amount due under invoice within thirty days after receipt
of invoice, or within five (5) days of receiving payment from owner (if other than client)
whichever date occurs first. Client shall pay a service charge of 1.50% per month on all
unpaid balances. Consultant may suspend all work on the project when accounts are over 60
days delinquent.
Article 7 ABANDONMENT
In the event the project is abandoned, Client shall advise immediately by written notice, Consultant to
stop work. Client shall pay consultant for all outstanding invoices for service performed and for
services completed at that time on the project. Work shall be suspended until Client advises Consultant
in writing to continue work.
Article 8 ELECTRICAL DOCUMENTS
8.1 All electronic files, drawings and copies furnished by JCA Engineering Inc. are and shall
remain its property. They are to be used only with respect to the above -mentioned project and
are not to be used on any other project. Submission or distribution to meet official regulatory
requirements or for other purposes in connection with this project is not to be construed as
publication in derogation of JCA Engineering Inc. common law copyright or other reserved
rights.
8.2 Client agrees not to make changes to any of the Consultants documents without Consultants
written agreement.
8.3 Electrical plans are diagrammatic only. Architectural drawings, elevations, details or sections
shall denote all electrical devices locations that need exact mounting requirements.
8.4 Upon request Consultant shall provide the Client with electronic files after all fees have been
completely paid and JCA's affidavit has been signed and returned. Time required to process
request will be billed to Owner or Client at the above hourly rates.
8.5 Electrical design on documents is guaranteed for a 180 day period. Projects that have not
started construction prior to the guarantee period shall be subject to additional electrical fees
to investigate and change any items on the drawings related to the current electrical and fire
code at that time.
Article 9 SCOPE OF AGREEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE
9.1 This document contains the entire agreement of the parties relating to the rights granted and
obligations assumed in this document. Any oral modifications or representations concerning
this document shall be of no effect unless contained in a subsequent written modification
signed by the party to be charged.
9.2 The electrical fees shown above shall be reviewed and adjusted if the project has not
commenced within 180 days of signing of this contract.
Article 10 INSURANCE
Each party to this Agreement shall carry and maintain insurance to protect him from claims arising out
of the performance of his professional services caused by the acts, errors or omissions of each party's
legally responsible.
Article 11 ARBITRATION
All questions in dispute under this Agreement shall be submitted to arbitration in accordance with the
provision of the Construction Industry rules of the American Arbitration Association. Consultant cannot
be sued for a greater amount than the fee. The prevailing party shall be entitled to reasonable
attorney's fees to be awarded by the Arbitrator. If there are judicial proceedings instead of arbitration,
reasonable attorney's fees shall be fixed by the court.

FOR THE NEWHALL COMMUNITY CENTER PLAYGROUND DESIGN
IN THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
Proposal to provide Engineering and Surveying services for the Playground Replacement at the
Newhall Community Center generally located at the northerly corner of Market Street and Railroad
Avenue in the City of Santa Clarita. The Scope of Services is more specifically defined in the
descriptions below.
TASK 1 TOPOGRAPHIC MAPPING AND UTILITY RESEARCH
Surveying & Mapping:
• Project Control — Locate sufficient, existing, property lines and/or boundary monuments to
effectively calculate the boundary from record maps, deed(s) and or title report.
• Horizontal and Vertical Control — Establish horizontal and vertical control onsite tied to
boundary and local benchmarks.
• Field Topo — Provide a topo of the site to obtain existing contours and topographic features
within the project area. Provide contour lines beyond the limits of work to establish
drainage patterns.
• Field Survey - Provide a field survey to locate existing trees, utilities, walkways and fences
and provide spot elevations at existing curbs or walks as necessary for design, within the
project area.
• Mapping — Prepare a base map with any pertinent data from record drawings. Prepare
topographic map at a scale of 1" = 10' with one -foot contours showing all existing site
features, utilities, buildings, trees, etc. Provide base mapping CAD files for the project.
Utility Research/Coordination:
• Research and review existing park plans and survey topo for existing utility facilities, and
identify and locate all utilities (both underground and overhead) within the project limits,
including mains, service lines, meter boxes, valve cans, irrigation lines, drain lines, channels,
etc.
TASK 2 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
Final Construction Bid Documents:
The final design plans will be based on the approved design development plans. The final
improvement plans will include:
• Grading and Drainage Plan including all proposed contours and significant spot elevations,
drainage system design with ADA Accessibility to all adjoining site features.

exhibit showing storm water BMP's .
TASK 3 PROJECT MEETINGS AND COORDINATION
• Attendance at design review meetings as needed. (Includes 4 hours Project Manager)
• Coordination with Architerra Design Group and City Staff.
• Obtain approvals from City Building and Safety Department grading and drainage
improvement plans.
• This task is to be billed on a Time and Materials basis not to exceed without prior
authorization from the Client.
TASK 4 STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN (OPTIONAL)
Prepare a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan to meet the requirements of the California
Construction General Permit Order. Submit to the City of Santa Clarita for information and file with
the SMARTS system for the Regional Water Quality Control Board to obtain a WDID number.
TASK 5 CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT (OPTIONAL)
Provide Construction Support as needed.
• Respond to Contractor Requests for Information.
• Review Contractor Submittals.
• Attend Pre -Construction Meeting and weekly construction progress meetings, when
necessary.
Review and advise on any construction change order requests.
• This task is to be billed on a Time and Materials basis not to exceed without prior
authorization from the Client.
EXCEPTIONS/EXCLUSIONS
This proposal does not include water or sewer improvements.
This proposal does not include the preparation of a Water Quality Management Plan.

TERMS, FEES, AND CONDITIONS ARE VALID FOR 60 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THIS PROPOSAL.
PROFESSIONAL FEE FOR SERVICES
Client agrees to compensate Consultant for civil engineering services for a fixed fee amount of
$15,700.00, and Project Meetings and Coordination and Construction Support (optional) on a Time
and Materials basis of $3,500.00.
EXTRA WORK
Client agrees to pay Consultant compensation for all authorized extra work at the hourly rates set
forth in the attached Rate Schedule. All such extra work shall be authorized by the Client prior to
commencing such work.
FEE ADJUSTMENTS
Client understands and agrees that the fees quoted for the services to be performed are subject to
an annual increase on October 15T of each year, beginning in 2026. The percentage increases (if any)
shall apply only to the unexpended portion of the total Agreement amount remaining on each such
October adjustment date. The adjustment will be in accordance with adjustments in the Master
Agreement between the Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors of Southern California and the
International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 12, AFL-CIO.

1. SUMMARY OF CONTRACTUAL REQUIRMENTS
a. A contract is required for any service performed on behalf of the City of Santa Clarita (City).
b. By submitting a proposal, you have reviewed the sample contract documents contained within this
request for proposals and agree to be bound by the requirements set forth.
c. Questions and requests for modification of these terms must be negotiated and approved prior to
proposal submission and are at the full discretion of the City.
2. SUMMARY OF INDEMNITY AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
a. These are the Indemnity and Insurance Requirements for Contractors providing services or supplies to
City of Santa Clarita (City). By agreeing to perform the work or submitting a proposal, you verify that you
comply with and agree to be bound by these requirements. If any additional Contract documents are
executed, the actual Indemnity language and Insurance Requirements may include additional provisions
as deemed appropriate by City's Purchasing Agent.
b. You should check with your Insurance advisors to verify compliance and determine if additional
coverage or limits may be needed to adequately insure your obligations under this agreement. These are
the minimum required and do not in any way represent or imply that such coverage is sufficient to
adequately cover the Contractor's liability under this agreement. The full coverage and limits afforded
under Contractor's policies of Insurance shall be available to Buyer and these Insurance Requirements
shall not in any way act to reduce coverage that is broader or includes higher limits than those required.
The Insurance obligations under this agreement shall be: 1—all the Insurance coverage and limits carried
by or available to the Contractor; or 2—the minimum Insurance requirements shown in this agreement,
whichever is greater. Any insurance proceeds in excess of the specified minimum limits and coverage
required, which are applicable to a given loss, shall be available to City.
c. Contractor shall furnish the City with original Certificates of Insurance including all required amendatory
endorsements and a copy of the Declarations and Endorsement Page of the CGL policy listing all policy
endorsements to City before work begins. City reserves the right to require full -certified copies of all
Insurance coverage and endorsements.
3. INDEMNIFICATION
a. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CONSULTANT shall defend (with legal counsel reasonably
acceptable to CITY), indemnify and hold harmless CITY and its officers, agents, departments, officials,
representatives and employees (collectively "Indemnitees ") from and against any and all claims, loss, cost,
damage, injury (including, without limitation, economic harm, injury to or death of an employee of
CONSULTANT or its subconsultants), expense and liability of every kind, nature and description that arise
from or relate to (including, without limitation, incidental and consequential damages, court costs,
attorneys' fees, litigation expenses and fees of expert consultants or expert witnesses incurred in
connection therewith and costs of investigation) that arise from or relate to, directly or indirectly, in whole
or in part, from: (1) CONSULTANT's performance of Services under this Agreement, or any part thereof;
(2) any negligent act or omission of CONSULTANT, any subconsultant, anyone directly or indirectly
employed by them, or anyone that they control; (3) any actual or alleged infringement of the patent rights,
copyright, trade secret, trade name, trademark, service mark or any other intellectual or proprietary right
of any person or persons in consequence of the use by CITY, or any other Indemnitee, of articles or
Services to be supplied in the performance of this Agreement; or (4) any breach of this Agreement
(collectively "Liabilities'). Such obligations to defend, hold harmless and indemnify any Indemnitee shall
not apply to the extent such Liabilities are caused by the sole negligence or willful misconduct of such
Indemnitee, but shall apply to all other Liabilities. The foregoing shall be subject to the limitations of
California Civil Code section 2782.8 as to any design professional services performed by CONSULTANT and
in particular the limitation on CONSULTANT's duty to defend whereby such duty only arises for claims
relating to the negligence, recklessness or willful misconduct of CONSULTANT as well as the limitation on
the cost to defend whereby CONSULTANT will only bear such cost in proportion to CONSULTANT's
proportionate percentage of fault (except as otherwise provided in section 2782.8).
b. The foregoing indemnification provisions will not reduce or affect other rights or obligations which
would otherwise exist in favor of the CITY and other Indemnitees.
c. CONSULTANT shall place in its subconsulting agreements and cause its subconsultants to agree to
indemnities and insurance obligations in favor of CITY and other Indemnitees in the exact form and
substance of those contained in this Agreement.
4. INSURANCE
a. Before commencing performance under this Agreement, and at all other times this Agreement is
effective, CONSULTANT will procure and maintain the following types of insurance with coverage limits
complying, at a minimum, with the limits set forth below:

b. Commercial general liability insurance will meet or exceed the requirements of ISO-CGL Form No. CG
00 011185 or 88. The amount of insurance set forth above will be a combined single limit per occurrence
for bodily injury, personal injury, and property damage for the policy coverage. Automobile coverage will
be written on ISO Business Auto Coverage Form CA 00 0106 92, including symbol 1 (Any Auto). Liability
policies will be endorsed to name CITY, its officials, and employees as "additional insureds" under said
insurance coverage and to state that such insurance will be deemed "primary" such that any other
insurance that may be carried by CITY will be excess thereto. Such endorsement must be reflected on ISO
Form No. CG 20 10 1185 or 88, or equivalent. Such insurance will be on an "occurrence," not a "claims
made," basis and will not be cancelable or subject to reduction except upon thirty (30) days prior written
notice to CITY.
c. Professional liability coverage will be on an "occurrence basis" if such coverage is available, or on a
"claims made" basis if not available. When coverage is provided on a "claims made basis," CONSULTANT
will continue to renew the insurance for a period of at least three (3) years after this Agreement expires
or is terminated. Such insurance will have the same coverage and limits as the policy that was in effect
during the term of this Agreement, and will cover CONSULTANT for all claims made by CITY arising out of
any errors or omissions of CONSULTANT, or its officers, employees or agents during the time this
Agreement was in effect.
d. CONSULTANT will furnish to CITY duly authenticated Certificates of Insurance evidencing maintenance
of the insurance required under this Agreement, including endorsements, and such other evidence of
insurance or copies of policies as may be reasonably required by CITY from time to time. Insurance must
be placed with California -admitted insurers with (other than workers compensation) a current A.M. Best
Company Rating of at least "A:VII."
e. Waiver of Subrogation: The insurer(s) agree to waive all rights of subrogation against CITY, its elected
or appointed officers, officials, agents, volunteers and employees for losses paid under the terms of the
workers compensation policy which arise from work performed by CONSULTANT for CITY.
f. Should CONSULTANT, for any reason, fail to obtain and maintain the insurance required by this
Agreement, CITY may obtain such coverage at CONSULTANT's expense and deduct the cost of such
insurance from payments due to CONSULTANT under this Agreement or terminate pursuant to
TERMINATION section. In the alternative, should CONSULTANT fail to meet any of the insurance
requirements under this Agreement, City may terminate this Agreement immediately with no penalty.
g. Should CONSULTANT'S insurance required by this Agreement be cancelled at any point prior to
expiration of the policy, CONSULTANT must notify City within 24 hours of receipt of notice of cancellation.
Furthermore, CONSULTANT must obtain replacement coverage that meets all contractual requirements
within 10 days of the prior insurer's issuance of notice of cancellation. CONSULTANT must ensure that
there is no lapse in coverage.
h. The CITY shall be entitled to any coverage in excess of the minimums required herein.
I have read and understand the above requirements and agree to be bound by them for any work
performed for the City.
