A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA CLARITA APPOINTING THE CITY
ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, The City of Santa Clarita was incorporated
on December 15, 1987, as a general law city of the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the efficient
operation of the affairs of the City that the City Council
appoint a City Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA CLARITA DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Carl K. Newton is hereby appointed as
City Attorney to serve at the pleasure of the City Council.
Section 2. The City Attorney shall receive such
reasonable compensation for legal services as this City
Council shall approve.
