HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-12-08 - RESOLUTIONS - COMP FOR SECO CYN WIDENING (2)RESOLUTION NO. 88-160 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA APPROVING A REVISED CERTIFICATION OF JUST COMPENSATION RELATING TO ROAD WIDENING AT 27664, 27670, AND 27676 SECO CANYON ROAD THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the Council has previously authorized the expenditure of $25,000 and authorized the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works to proceed with the acquisition of certain property interests to proceed with road widening at 27664, 27670, and 27676 Seco Canyon Road; and WHEREAS, the County, has submitted for the City's approval a certification of Just Compensation, which is attached to this resolution as Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the Council desires to give its approval to the revised Certification of Just Compensation; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Certification of Just Compensation attached as Exhibit A is hereby approved, and the City Clerk is authorized to execute it on behalf of the City. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 8th day of December 1988. fy &UGIZI ATTEST: /X 11PAjA'1 CITY K ° I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 8th day of December 1988, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS Boyer, Darcy, Heidt, Koontz, Mayor McKeon NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS None ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS None TY CLERK CITY OF SANTA CLARITA CERTIFICATION OF JUST COMPENSATION SECO CANYON ROAD (4) SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT 5 R -88429X On May 5, 1987, the total appraised value of $17,720 was certified by the County of Los Angeles Facilities Management Department as just compensation for the acquisition of Parcels Nos. 4-1, 4-2, and 4-3 which are required for the subject project. After initial negotiation, the appraisal was reviewed and increased to a total of $21,390. The date of the revised appraisal was 'February 29, 1988. The increment of $3,670 is to cover an increase in value of the damage to the remainder. The total appraised value of $21,390, as set forth in the attached Compensation Summary, is the full amount believed to be just compensation for the property interest to be acquired.
