HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-11-14 - ORDINANCES - PR CMSN COMP (2)ORDINANCE NO. 89-26 ^ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 2.28.090 RELATING TO COMPENSATION AND EXPENSES FOR MEMBER OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION SECTION 1: That the Municipal Code is hereby amended at Section 2.28.090 of Title 2, relating to compensation and expenses of the Parks and Recreation Commission, to read as follows: 2.28.090 Compensation and Expenses Each member of the Commission shall receive compensation at the rate of seventy dollars ($70.00) for each meeting of the Commission attended by such member, not to exceed a total compensation of one hundred forty dollars ($140.00) in any one month. Such compensation shall be paid on the first payroll payment date following the end of the calendar month. The director shall submit to the City Manager at the end of each calendar month, a statement showing the number of meetings of the Commission attended by each member during such month. No additional compensation shall be paid for expenses incurred by member of the Commission and performance of their duties except as authorized in advance by the City Council. The City Council, may from time to time authorize in advance, expenditures for attendance at seminars, institutes, or other meetings, which the City Council finds to be beneficial to the commissioners in performance of their duties, and in the best interest of the City. Claims for such expenses shall be filed with the City Manager on forms prescribed by him, and shall be subject to audit and approval by the City Council. SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause it to be published in the manner required by law.
