RESOLUTION NO. 89-152
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND ORDERING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION
NO. 1989-03" TO THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County of Los Angeles adopted its resolution, making
determinations and approving the proposed annexation to
the City of Santa Clarita of territory described in
Exhibits A and B attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County of Los Angeles has directed the City of Santa
Clarita to proceed with the annexation without notice and
hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission approved
.• this proposed annexation subject to the following
specified term(s) and condition(s): that the subject
territory also be annexed to the Consolidated Fire
Protection District; and
WHEREAS, the reasons for this annexation are to square up
the City's boundaries, to comply with the property owner's
request for annexation, and to promote sound planning and
land use practices in the affected territory; and
WHEREAS, the regular County assessment roll is utilized by
this City; and
WHEREAS, the affected territory will not be taxed for
existing bonded indebtedness of this City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Santa Clarita, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby declares said
territory is found to be uninhabited and a legal
description of the boundaries of the annexation is set
forth in Exhibit A and a map of the boundaries is set
forth in Exhibit B, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
" SECTION 2. The City Council hereby orders the territory
described in Exhibits A and B annexed and directs the City
Clerk to transmit eight (8) certified copies of this
resolution with applicable fees required by Section
54902.5 of the Government Code to the Executive Officer of
the Local Agency Formation Commission of Los Angeles
County.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and certify this record to be a full,
true, correct copy. -,of the action taken.

DISTRICT OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY)
Revised Description
Approved by the Local Agency Formation Commission
Beginning at the northwest corner of the southwest quarter of
Section 24, Township 4 North, Range 15 West, S.B.M., said corner being a
point in the boundary of the City of Santa Clarita as same existed on July
1, 1989; thence easterly along the north line of said southwest quarter to
the northwest corner of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of
the southwest quarter of said section; thence southerly and easterly along
the west and south lines of said northeast quarter to the west line of the
.. east half of the southwest quarter of said section; thence southerly along
said last mentioned west line to the southwest corner of the northwest
quarter of the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of said section;
thence easterly and northerly along the south and east lines of the
northwest quarter of the southeast `quarter of the southwest quarter of
said section to the north line of the south half of the southwest quarter
of said section; thence easter-; along said last mentioned north line to
Zhe east line of the southwest quarter of said section.; thence southerly
along said last mentioned east -_ae to the south line of said section;
thence westerly and northerly along said boundary of the City of Santa
Clarita to the point of beginning.
