A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING STOP CONTROLS FOR EASTBOUND AND
WESTBOUND TRAFFIC ON MAPLE STREET AT VALLEY
STREET CREATING A FOUR-WAY STOP
WHEREAS, Section 21355 of the California Vehicle Code grants
authority to local agencies to erect "stop" signs at or near the
entrance to an intersection, and
WHEREAS, a traffic and engineering study has been conducted
at the intersection of Maple Street and Valley Street; and
WHEREAS, this study has concluded that additional stop control
would be appropriate at the intersection.
THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Establish stop controls for eastbound and westbound
traffic on Maple Street at Valley Street.
2. Direct staff to post appropriate signs and place
appropriate pavement legends to effect these controls.

the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita, at a regular meeting
thereof, held on the 25th day of July 1989, by the
