HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-11-14 - RESOLUTIONS - SOLEDAD PARKING REGS (2)RESOLUTION NO. 89-137 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A PARKING REGULATION ON SOLEDAD CANYON ROAD EAST OF SIERRA HIGHWAY, IN THE PROXIMITY OF THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE BRANCH NO. 91351 WHEREAS, Section 22507 of the Vehicle Code grants authority to local agencies to restrict the stopping, parking, or standing of vehicles on certain streets; and WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic study has been conducted at 18336 Soledad Canyon Road where Branch No. 91351 of the United States Postal Service is located; and WHEREAS, this study has concluded that the prohibition of stopping, parking or standing of vehicles, except for the deposit of mail, would be appropriate. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 1. A parking regulation is hereby established which prohibits the a- stopping, parking or standing of vehicles, except for the deposit of mail, on the south side of Soledad Canyon Road for a distance of 97 feet in front of the address number 18336. 2. Staff is directed to post appropriate signs and place appropriate curb markings to effect this regulation.
