HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-08-14 - AGENDA REPORTS - AUTOMATIC MAILING EQUIPMENT (2)CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: August 14, 1990 AGENDA REPORT *V'� City Manager Approval Item to be presented Andrea Daroca SUBJECT: Purchase of Automatic Mailing Equipment DEPARTMENT: Finance/General Services Ap BACKGROUND The City of Santa Clarita, in need of automatic mailing equipment, advertised and requested sealed bids from potential suppliers with a bid opening of Thursday, July 12, 1990, at 11:00 a.m. for bid #GS -90-91-01. Two bids were received from the following vendors: Friden Acatel $23,011.88 includes tax 2,131.00 annual maintenance agreement Pitney Bowes $25,939.18 includes tax 2,281.00 annual maintenance agreement All equipment bid was included in this year's 1990-91 budget. Staff was given a demonstration of both mailing equipment systems and researched the total performance packages. Friden Acatel successfully met all specification requirements and was the lowest, most qualified bidder. Staff be authorized to purchase the automated mailing equipment from Friden Acatel, the lowest, most qualified bidder who met all specifications identified in bid # GS -90-91-01. pla a Agenda Item: z-
