It is important that the election workers are compensated for their time spent at the polling place. It is suggested we follow the County's compensations as follows: Inspectors $45.00 Judges 35.00 Clerks 35.00 It is also suggested that the compensation for the rental of polling places shall be $25.00 for the use of homes, churches and/or fire stations and $12.00 for custodial services at schools. RECOMMENDATION Adopt Resolution No. 90-36 ATTACHMENT Resolution 90-36 Agenda Item: -- - - ® RESOLUTION NO. 90-36 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE RATES OF PAY FOR ELECTION OFFICIALS AND RENT FOR POLLING PLACES FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION ON TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 1990 WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, April 10, 1990, has been called by Resolution Number 89-154 adopted on 12/12/89. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That services performed in the conduct of the General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, April 10, 1990, election officers shall be paid at the following rate: Inspectors $45.00 Judges 35.00 Clerks 35.00 SECTION 2: That the rental for each polling place, where a charge is made, shall be $25.00 for the election. When required, the compensation of the custodian of a building shall be $12.00 for the election. SECTION 3: That the City Clerk certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
