HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-11-27 - AGENDA REPORTS - LYONS AVENUE PROJ 89-13 (2)AGENDA REPORT City Manager Item to be presented CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: November 27, 1990 SUBJECT: LYONS AVENUE (N.S.), EAST OF INTERSTATE 5 PROJECT NO. 89-13 - AUTHORIZE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS DEPARTMENT: Public Works BACKGROUND The current budget provides funding for the improvement of the north side of Lyons Avenue, 300 feet of curb,.gutter, sidewalk, base, pavement and storm drain from approximately 850 feet easterly of I-5 to approximately 1150 easterly. The Los Angeles County Flood Control District has issued a permit for the connection of 24 inch reinforced concrete pipe storm drain as part of subject project. On October 5, 1990, a Negative Declaration assessment was prepared and it has been determined that the construction of this project will have no significant effect on the environment. Plans and specifications for this project have been completed and are available for review in the offices of the City Clerk and. the Director of Public Works. $96,000 is budgeted for this project in Account No. 25-96033-227. The project is now ready for advertisement for the receipt of bids. RECOMMENDATION Approve the plans and specifications for the project and authorize the advertising for bids. /ce APPROVED Agenda Item:
