DEPARTMENT: City BACKGROUND This item was on the agenda of June 12, 1990 for introduction and first reading of Ordinance 90-14. This ordinance amends the municipal code to add section 11.12.055 relating to the sale of spray paint cans of six ounces or less. Waive further reading and adopt Ordinance 90-14, approving section 11.12.055 imposing regulations upon the sale of aerosol paint containers of six ounces or less. Ordinance No. 90-14 Agenda Item: / • ORDINANCE NO. 90-14 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, 'AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADD SECTION 11.12.055 RELATING TO THE SALE OF SPRAY PAINT CANS OF SIX OUNCES OR LESS[ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF�SANTA CLARITA'DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the Municipal Code of the City of Santa Clarita is amerde3 to add section 11.12.055 to Title 11 relating to the sale of spray paint cans of six ounces and fewer, to read as follows: "11.12.055 Sale of aerosol Daint containers- Storace requirements. Any business or establishment offering for sale to the public aerosol paint containers of six (6) ounces or less shall keeo, store and maintain such aerosol paint containers in a place that is locked and secure, or otherwise made unavailable to the public." This ordinance would require all business estab- lishments open to the public and offering aerosol paint containers weighing six ounces or less to keep, store and maintain such containers in secure areas which are not avail- able to the public except upon request. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows: Section 1. Section 13.12.055 of the Los Angeles County Code is added to read as follows: Section 13.12.055. Sale of aerosol paint containers - Storage requirements.
