On May 4, 1990, the District Board approved a SCAQMD
initiative to sponsor a California Clean Air and New
Technologies Conference with the cooperation of other
regulatory agencies, private industry and the university
community. Accordingly, I cordially invite your
participation at this Conference which has been scheduled for
October 15-17, 1990, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los
Angeles.
This Conference will provide a forum for exhibiting in one
location the technologies available to control hydrocarbons,
nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, particulate matter
emissions and air toxics. Also, the Conference will feature
a debate on the Big Green Initiative, discussions on the
Clean Air Act and global warming, and panel discussions on
clean fuels and smart growth.
This Conference is a unique opportunity for all businesses,
large and small, to gain first-hand familiarity with
technologies that are available today, or are on the horizon.
Also, it represents an opportunity for the participants to
exchange thoughts on key issues impacting the attainment of
federal and State clean air standards.
The accompanying fact sheet outlines the categories of
sponsors and benefactors, types of exhibitions and related
details of the program.
I urge your participation in this innovative and forward-
looking Conference and would appreciate an early expression
of your support.
