7:30-7:45 p.m. ITEM 1 PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION INTERVIEWS - At the
Council meeting of June 26th, Council approved the
advertisement and recruitment of Parks and Recreation
Commission vacancies, however, an interview date was not
scheduled.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Select a date to interview recommended

ITEM 2 SANTA CLARA. RIVER WATER AND RECREATION FEATURES
STUDY - Staff will highlight the schedule for the Santa
Clara River Study project and review the issues and
objectives developed by the committee thus far.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Council to identify any priority issues
and objectives which they wish to -have addressed. in the
river study.

ITEM 3 SOLID WASTE STATUS REPORT - Staff will report on
the recycling components of an integrated solid waste plan
and the accomplishments made in the solid waste plan, thus
far.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Discuss solid waste plan.

ITEM 4 PROPOSED ELSMERE CANYON LANDFILL - Staff will
report on the accomplishments to date and tasks scheduled
for the remainder of this year pertaining to the Elsmere
Canyon Landfill.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive and file report.

ITEM 5 BRIDGE & MAJOR THOROUGHFARE DISTRICT COOPERATIVE
AGREEMENT - Although the Route 126 & Bouquet Canyon B&T
District Agreements are similar to the proposed Valencia
District agreement, staff will discuss concerns regarding
differing philosophy between the City and County relating
to the width of the improvements.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Consider the concerns regarding the
width of the improvements, the landscape medians and the
extension of Magic Mountain Parkway and direct staff to
return with a plan of action based on the Council's input
at the next regular Council meeting.
