A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA ACKNOWLEDGING
THE DESIGNATION OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AS THE LOS ANGELES
CONGESTION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (CMP) AGENCY
FOR LOS ANGELES COUNTY
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 56089 requires the development of a
Congestion Management Program for Los Angeles County which includes the County
and every city in the County; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 65089 provides that the Congestion
Management Plan shall be developed either by the County Transportation
Commission, or by another public agency, as designated by the County Board of
Supervisors and the City Councils of a majority of the cities representing a
majority of the population in the incorporated area of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission is the
appropriate public agency in the County of Los Angeles to be designated under
the provisions of Government Code Section 65089; and
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission by action
taken on July 25, 1990 has supported its designation as the Congestion
Management Agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita,
California, does hereby acknowledge the designation of the Los Angeles County
Transportation Commission as the Congestion Management Program (CMP) Agency for
Los Angeles County.
