RE: Attachment to Resolution No. 90-195 to include in the
resolution a commitment to carry out the Environmental
Enhancement and Mitigation measures proposed in connection
with the widening of State Route 126.
Dear Mr. Waraas:
The City of Santa Clarita has recently been made aware of
additional information required in the resolution for the
application of the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation
grant. The original grant application provided to us did not
include the resolution information requested, and thus that
information was not incorporated into the approved resolution.
The following language was provided to the City of Santa Clarita
on November 15th, and is approved to be included in Resolution
No. 90-195 for the widening of Route 126, and the planting of
- street trees along Route 126:
1. The City of Santa Clarita approves the filing of an
application for the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation
Program grant assistance.
2. Certifies that said applicant will make adequate provisions
for operation and maintenance of the project.
3. Appoints Jeff Kolin, Director of Parks and Recreation, as
agent of the City of Santa Clarita to conduct all
negotiations, execute and submit all documents, including,
but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments,
payment requests, and so on, which may be necessary for the
completion of the Environmental Enhancement Project.
Please consider the above as attachments to be include in the
submitted resolution. We are optimistic about the opportunity to
expand our urban forestry with assistance such as this program.
