RESOLUTION NO. 90-70 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING THE STOPPING OR STANDING OF VEHICLES ON SIERRA HIGHWAY IN THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA WHEREAS, modification of existing roadway markings to provide an additional travel lane requires prohibiting stopping of vehicles on certain portions of Sierra Highway. WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code Section 22507 provides for local authorities to prohibit or restrict the stopping, parking or standing of vehicles on certain streets or highways, or portions thereof, during all or certain hours of the day. THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the stopping, parking or standing of vehicles during all hours of the day shall be prohibited as follows: (1) Sierra Highway, on the west side, from Soledad Canyon Road to a point 1,320 feet south of Soledad Canyon Road. Section 2. That the prohibition of stopping, parking or standing of vehicles as provided herein shall apply when appropriate curb markings or signs giving adequate notice thereof have been placed as described in Section 1. Section 3. That staff shall install the necessary curb markings or signs to effect this Resolution.
