A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA,
REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT
OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO ACCEPT ON BEHALF
OF SAID DISTRICT A TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE OF
STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS KNOWN AS
PRIVATE DRAIN NO. 1828 IN THE
CITY OF SANTA CLARITA FOR FUTURE OPERATION,
MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND IMPROVEMENT, AND AUTHORIZE
THE TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, there have been dedicated to, or the City has otherwise
acquired, the storm drain improvements and drainage system ]mown as Private
Drain No. 1828, described in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City is authorized and empowered to transfer' and convey to the
Los Angeles County Flood Control District any storm drain improvements and
drainage systems for future operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement;
and
WHEREAS, the City and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District entered
into an agreement dated March 14, 1989, and recorded August 22, 1989, as
Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official Records in the office of the
County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles, whereby the City made certain
warranties about its future transfers and conveyances of Flood Control
facilities to the District; and
WHEREAS, the best public interest will be served by transfer and conveyance of
the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in Exhibit A
attached hereto from the City to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District
for future operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City does hereby request the Los
Angeles County Flood Control District to accept the transfer and conveyance of
the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in said Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, subject to the acceptance thereof of the Board of
Supervisors of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, the City
Engineer is directed and ordered to prepare all necessary instruments and
documents, including deed, to effectuate said transfer and conveyance, and
that the Mayor is authorized and instructed to execute said deed and other
instruments and documents. District shall have no obligation or
responsibility to maintain said storm drain, improvements, and drainage until
all rights-of-way for said drain now vested in the City and all other
necessary rights-of-way therefore have been conveyed to and accepted by
District.
Reference is hereby made to District Drawings Nos. 43-F289.1 through
43-F289.12, the plans and profile of said atom drain improvements and
drainage system on file in the office of the City Engineer and on file in the
office of the Chief Engineer of said District for further data as to the exact
location, extent, and description of said storm drain improvements and
drainage system.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the transfer and conveyance hereby requested
are subject to each of the warranties described in the Agreement between the
City and the District dated March 14, 1989, and recorded August 22, 1989, as
Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official Records in the office of the
County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles. Such warranties by the City
are incorporated here by this reference.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.

A reinforced concrete pipe storm drain and RC box system and appurtenant structures for Tract Map No
34367, Filed in Book [04_&�, pages _5__ to J_5_, inclusive, of maps, Records of the County of Los
Angeles, generally described as follows:
Line "A"
Commencing from a rip -rap structure located within a variable width easement for storm drain and storm
drain ingress and egress purposes, approximately 312 feet southwest of Penlon Road; thence westerly
within a 22 foot wide easement to an outlet structure, Station 8 + 89.14; thence westerly and southwesterly
within Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way to the eastern tract boundary of the above referenced tract;
thence southwesterly and westerly within a 15 foot wide easement for storm drain and storm drain ingress
and egress purposes to Terri Drive; thence southwesterly within Terri Drive to a 15 foot wide easement for
storm drain and storm drain ingress and egress purposes; thence westerly within last said mentioned
easement to an existing R.C.P. per P.D. 1764, Station 16 + 7.87, a distance of 783 feet ore more less.
Line "B"
Commencing from a manhole structure per Line "A", Station 12 + 60.21 (0 + 00.00, Line "B"); thence
northwesterly within Terri Drive to a terminal catch basin, Station 1 + 25.78, a distance of 126 feet more
or less.
Lines "C", "D"
Connector pipes from Line "B" to catch basins.
Line "E"
Commencing from a rip -rap structure located within a 22 foot wide easement for storm drain and storm
drain ingress and egress purposes, Station 9 + 22.88; thence southerly within Southern Pacific Railroad
right-of-way to the easterly tract boundary of the above referenced tract; thence southerly within a 15 foot
wide easement for storm drain and storm drain ingress and egress purposes to Terri Drive; thence
southerly within Terri Drive and Gregory Lane to the southerly tract boundary of the above referenced tract
and the connection point to an existing R.C.P. per P.D. 1781, Station 17 + 74.06, a distance of 851 feet
more or less.

Connector pipes from Line 'B" to catch basins.
Line "F"
Commencing from a manhole structure, Station 12 + 07.33 per line 'B" (0 + 00.00, Line "F"); thence
easterly within Terri Drive to a series of catch basins per Line "G", Station 1 + 31.74, a distance of 132

Commencing from a manhole structure, Station 14 + 71.31, Line "E" (0 + 00.00 Line "N"); thence
southwesterly and westerly within Emmett Road to a terminal catch basin, Station 2 + 32.89, a distance of
