A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA
REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT OF THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO ACCEPT ON BEHALF OF SAID DISTRICT
A TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE OF STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS
KNOWN AS PRIVATE DRAIN NO. 2056 IN THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
FOR FUTURE OPERATION, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND IMPROVEMENT,
AND AUTHORIZE THE TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, there have been dedicated to, or the City has otherwise
acquired, the storm drain improvements and drainage system ]mown as Private
Drain No. 2056, described in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City is authorized and empowered to transfer and convey to
the Los Angeles County Flood Control District any storm drain improvements and
drainage systems for future operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement;
and
WHEREAS, the City and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District
entered into an agreement dated March 14, 1989, and recorded August 22, 1989,
as Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official Records in the office of the
County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles, whereby the City made certain
warranties about its future transfers and conveyances of Flood Control
facilities to the District; and
WHEREAS, the best public interest will be served by transfer and
conveyance of the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in
Exhibit A attached hereto from the City to the Los Angeles County Flood
Control District for future operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City does hereby request the Los
Angeles County Flood Control District to accept the transfer and conveyance of
the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in said Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, subject to the acceptance thereof of the
Board of Supervisors of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, the
City Engineer is directed and ordered to prepare all necessary instruments and
documents, including deed, to effectuate said transfer and conveyance, and
that the Mayor is authorized and instructed to execute said deed and other
instruments and documents. District shall have no obligation or
responsibility to maintain said storm drain, improvements, and drainage until
all rights-of-way for said drain now vested in the City and all other
necessary rights-of-way therefore have been conveyed to and accepted by
District.
Reference is hereby made to District Drawings Nos. 366-F12.1-.4, the
plans and profile of said storm drain improvements and drainage system on file
in the office of the City Engineer and on file in the office of the Chief
Engineer of said District for further data as to the exact location, extent,
and description of said storm drain improvements and drainage system.
.�. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the transfer and conveyance hereby requested
are subject to each of the warranties described in the Agreement between the
City and the District dated March 14, 1989, and recorded August 22, 1989, as
Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official Records in the office of the
County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles. Such warranties by the City
are incorporated here by this reference.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 17th day of April
1990.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the
City Council of the City of Santa Clarita at a regular meeting thereof, held
on the 17th day of April , 1990 by the following vote

Private Drain No. 2056
A reinforced concrete pipe storm drain system and appurtenant structures
for Tract Map No. 43516, filed in Book 1082, pages 53 to 55, inclusive,
of maps, Records of the County of Los Angeles, generally described as
follows:
Line "A"
Commencing from a manhole structure connecting to an existing line _.
located approximately 360 feet south of the intersection of Racquet Club
Court and Sierra Highway, Station 11+00.50; thence northerly within
Sierra Highway to an inlet structure at Station 18+24.61, a distance of
724 feet, more or less.
Laterals Line "C", Line "D", Line "E"
Connector pipes from Line "A" to catch basins within the right-of-way for
Sierra Highway and a variable width easement for storm drain and storm
drain ingress and egress purposes.
Line "B"
Commencing from a manhole structure connecting to Line"A" mentioned above
at Station 1+00.00; thence northerly and northwesterly within Racquet
Club Court, 5 feet south of the street centerline to an inlet structure
within a variable width easement for storm drain and storm drain ingress
and egress purposes within the said tract, Station 4+72.52, a distance of
372 feet, more or less.
Laterals "F", "G", "I", "J"
Connector pipes from Line "B" to catch basins within Racquet Club Court
and a variable width easement for storm drain and storm drain ingress and
egress purposes.
All as shown on District Drawing Nos. 336-F12.1-.4.
