A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING DEDICATION OF A TRANSFER
AND CONVEYANCE OF STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS AND
DRAINAGE SYSTEMS FOR PRIVATE DRAIN 2012
WHEREAS, there have been dedicated to, or the City has otherwise
acquired, the storm drain improvements and drainage systems known as Private
Drain 2012 described in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City is authorized and empowered to transfer and convey to
the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, storm drain improvements and
drainage systems for future operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement;
and
WHEREAS, the City and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District
entered into an agreement dated March 14, 1989, and recorded August 22, 1989,
as Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official Records in the office of the
County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles, whereby the City made certain
warranties about its future transfers and conveyances of Flood Control
facilities to the District; and
WHEREAS, the best public interest will be served by transfer and
conveyance of the storm drain improvements and drainage systems described in
Exhibit A attached hereto from the City to the Los Angeles County Flood
Control District for future operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City does hereby request the Los
Angeles County Flood Control District to accept the transfer and conveyance of
the storm drain improvements and drainage systems described in said Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, subject to the acceptance thereof of the
Board of Supervisors of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, the
City Engineer is directed and ordered to prepare all necessary instruments and
documents to effectuate said transfer and conveyance, and that the Mayor is
authorized and instructed to execute said instruments and documents. District
shall have no obligation or responsibility to maintain said storm drain,
improvements, and drainage until all rights-of-way for said drain now vested
in the City and all other necessary rights-of-way therefore have been conveyed
to and accepted by District.
Reference is hereby made to District Drawings Nos. 43-F314.1-5, the plans
and profile of said storm drain improvements and drainage systems on file in
the office of the City Engineer and on file in the office of the Chief
Engineer of said District for further data as to the exact location, extent,
and description of said storm drain improvements and drainage systems.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the transfer and conveyance hereby requested
are subject to each of the warranties described in the Agreement between the
City and the District dated March 14, 1989, and recorded August 22, 1989, as
Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official Records in the office of the
County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles. Such warranties by the City
are incorporated here by this reference.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.

Private Drain No. 2012
A reinforced concrete pipe and box culvert storm drain system and appurtenant
structures for Tract No. 43774, filed in Book 1092, pages 90 to 94, inclusive, of
Maps, Records of the County of Los Angeles, generally described as follows:
Line "A":
Commencing from an existing 161x 6' Caltrans Channel, Station 0 + 08.10, located
southwest of the street intersection of Avenue Stanford and Avenue Hall; thence
northeasterly in a 12 -foot -wide easement for storm drain and storm drain ingress
and egress purposes, which lies adjacent to and southwesterly of said street
intersection, to Avenue Stanford; thence northeasterly, crossing Avenue
Standford, to another 12 -foot -wide easement for said purposes, which lies within
Lots 7, 8 and 9 of said tract; thence northeasterly in last said mentioned
easement to Technology Drive; thence northeasterly, crossing Technology Drive to
another 12 -foot -wide and variable width easement for said purposes, which lies
within Lots 5 and 6 of said tract; thence northerly, 'northwesterly, northerly,
northeasterly, easterly, southeasterly, easterly, northeasterly and northerly in
last said mentioned easement to a variable width easement for flood control
purposes, which lies within Lot 6 of said tract and which lies adjacent to and
northeasterly of said Lot 6; thence northerly in last said mentioned easement to
an inlet structure, Station 17 + 41.34, a distance of 1,733 feet, more or less.
Line "B":
Commencing from a manhole structure per Line "A", Station 12+ 45.88 ( Station
0 + 00, Line "B"), located in a 12 -foot -wide and variable width easement for
storm drain and storm drain ingress and egress purposes, which lies within Lots 4
and 5 of said tract; thence northwesterly, northerly and northeasterly in said
easement to an 100 -foot -wide easement for flood control purposes, which lies
within Lot 4 of said tract and which lies adjacent to and northeasterly of said
Lot 4; thence northeasterly in last said mentioned easement to an inlet
structure, Station 3 + 77.12, a distance of 377 feet, more or less.
Line "B1":
Commencing from a transition structure per Line "B", Station 0 + 42.10 (Station
0 + 00, Line "81"), located in a 12 -foot -wide and variable width easement for
storm drain and storm drain ingress and egress purposes, which lies within Lot 5
of said tract; thence northwesterly, northerly and northeasterly in said easement
to an 130 -foot -wide easement for flood control purposes, which lies within said
Lot 5 and which lies adjacent to and northeasterly of said Lot 5; thence
northeasterly in last said mentioned easement to an inlet structure, Station
0 + 66.28, a distance of 66 feet, more or less.

Line "C":
Commencing from an existing channel per P.D. No. 2007, Station 0 + 54.34, located
in a variable width easement for storm drain and storm drain ingress and egress
purposes, which lies adjacent to and southwesterly of Avenue Stanford; thence
northeasterly in said easement to Avenue Stanford; thence northeasterly, crossing
said street, to a catch basin, Station 1 + 32.23, a distance of 78 feet, more or
less.
Line "D":
Commencing from an existing channel per P.D. No. 2007 Station 0 + 24.48, located
in said easement as described in Line "C"; thence northeasterly in said easement
to Avenue Stanford; thence northeasterly, crossing said street, to a 12 -foot -wide
easement for storm drain and storm drain ingress and egress purposes, which lies
within Lots 1, 2 and 3 of said tract; thence northeasterly, easterly,
southeasterly, easterly and northeasterly in last said. mentioned easement to an
130 -foot -wide easement for flood control purposes, which lies within Lot 3 of
said tract and which lies adjacent to and northeasterly of said Lot 3; thence
northeasterly in last said mentioned easement to an inlet structure, Station
9 + 80.07, a distance of 956 feet, more or less.
