SUBJECT: Authorization to sign for City Clerk
Resolution No. 91-51

BACKGROUND
Recently, the City Clerk was unavailable when official documents needed to be
signed. This presented an opportunity to improve. Someone other than the City
Clerk needs the authority to sign such documents.
At this time, it is recommended that the Council appoint the. City Manager as the
person authorized to sign documents in the City Clerk's absence.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt Resolution No. 91-51.

RESOLUTION NO. 91-51
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR ACTING CITY MANAGER
TO SIGN DOCUMENTS IN THE ABSENCE OF THE CITY CLERK
WHEREAS, it is necessary at this time to appoint the City
Manager or acting.City Manager as the person(s) authorized to sign
documents in the absence of the, City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the
City of -Santa Clarita does hereby authorize the City Manager or
acting City Manager to sign documents in the absence of the City
Clerk.
The foregoing resolution was adopted on the day of
1991,.by the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita.
