SUBJECT: Number of plot plans received for child care requests
DEPARTMENT: Community Development
BACKGROUND
At its meeting of May 28, 1991, the. Council requested the following of the
staff pertaining to plot plans submitted for child care requests in a private
residence:
1. The number of plot plans submitted: According to a records search, only
three plot plans have been submitted for child care since the Community
Development Department began receiving applications on December 5, 1988.
2. Request for refunds on current or past applications: All of the above
three applications were reviewed over the counter. Because of this, no fee
was charged. No applications are pending in which the previous fee of $535.00
was charged. Therefore, no refunds are necessary.
3. Simple public information sheet on child care plot plans: A hand out item
has been designed. to explain the requirements for a plot plan when child care
is being proposed in a private.residence.

PLOT PLAN SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR LARGE -FAMILY
DAY CARE HOMES (7-12 CHILDREN)
In order to properly review the Plot Plan, the following information must be
submitted to the Community Development Department in the City of Santa Clarita:
1. Child Care Plot Plan Fee - $50.00
2. A completed Plot Plan Review form. (copy attached)
3. Five (5) copies of the plan (see sample attached) providing the following:.
A. All existing_ and proposed buildings, structures, yards, driveways,
height, and number of stories for each structure on the property.
B. Distances between all structures and property lines.
C. All property.lines shall be shown. Donot use the edge of the paper
for property lines.
D. Indicate one (1) drop-off/pick-up area. If the driveway is to be
used for this purpose, parking will not be permitted in this , area
during business hours.
E. The applicant's name, address, and telephone number on the plan.
