Item to be presented,
John E. Medina
SUBJECT: COMMUTER RAIL STATION SITE
Resolution No. 91-21
DEPARTMENT: Public Works
BACKGROUND
On January 29, 1991, staff submitted to Council a site location study
recommending the Glazer property (between 13th Street and 15th Street adjacent
to San Fernando Road) for the City's first Commuter Rail Station.
The Council voted to delay a decision in selecting this location due to concerns
over noise and traffic impacts. There was also a desire to elicit and analyze
further public input in the station site selection.
A public meeting will be held on February 11, 1991 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to
discuss the site location. Attending this meeting will be City staff, LACTC
representatives, and any persons interested in this topic.
A report of this meeting will be available for Council on the February 12th City
Council meeting.
