The Council directed staff to bring back specific recommendations and cost estimates. Since both bridges are at grade with the adjacent ground, very little of the structure of the bridges will be seen. We have discussed.each of these items with Caltrans, and they took no exception with these proposals but did reserve the right to consider these further as part of their plan approval process. Although we are not certain at this time, some of this work may be eligible for federal participation. At the meeting, we will present slides to ,further illustrate the types of improvements we are proposing.
