As agricultural lands develop, approximately 10,000 acre feet will be converted to domestic use. 3. The Saugus formation can give up much more than 20,000 acre feet in any given year. It has over 1 million acre feet in storage and should continue to hold that amount if no more than 20,000 acre feet per year is taken.
