SUBJECT: Purchase a 4 -wheel drive, Skip -Loader Tractor
DEPARTMENT: Finance. 10
BACKGROUND
The City of Santa Clarita in need of a 4 -wheel drive, skip loader tractor
for the Public Works Department initiated formal bid number OGS -90-91-10.
The results of the December 6, 1990, bid opening are as follows:
GS -90-91-10
Equipment Center (Lancaster) $88,378.33
SMA Equipment Co., Inc. (Ontario) $73,458.75
Staff has reviewed the bid responses and has determined that SMA Equipment
Center is the lowest most qualified bidder for Bid #GS -90-91-10. A member
of staff has also inspected the .equipment at the .supplier's facility for
conformance to specifications and has determined that all requirements have
been met and/or exceeded.
RECOMMENDATION
Authorize staff to purchase from Account #01-4605-402 the required 4 -wheel
drive, skip loader tractor from SMA Equipment Center to fulfill the
requirements of Bid #GS -90-91-10.
