Hart High School cafeteria, 23625 N. Newhall Avenue, Santa Clarita, 91321. FLAG SALUTE Principal Planner, Chris Trinkley led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. ROLL CALL All Councilmembers were present with the exception of Mayor Boyer. Also present were: City Manager, George Caravalho; Director of Community Development, Lynn Harris; Principal Planner, Chris Trinkley; Assistant Planner, Dave Hogan; General Plan Consultant, Barry Hogan; Clerk Typist, Krystyna Ghahremani. ITEM 1 Director of Community Development, Lynn Harris reported that this CONTINUED PUBLIC meeting is continued from the meeting of June 20, 1991. The HEARING ON THE purpose of this meeting is to discuss: A) General Plan text GENERAL PLAN amendments - Land Use Element. B) The Relationship between Growth Management and the General Plan. C) Land Use Map requests. D) The River Centre Concept. RECESS Mayor Pro Tem Klajic recessed the meeting at 9:00 p.m. RECONVENE Mayor Pro Tem Klajic reconvened the meeting at 9:13 p.m. COUNCIL A motion was made to designate areas C-15, C-16, C-17, C-18 as DISCUSSION commercial. On roll call vote: Ayes: Darcy, Heidt, McKeon Noes: Klajic Absent: Boyer A motion was made to designate C-20 as RVL On roll call vote: Ayes: Darcy, Heidt, McKeon Noes: Klajic Absent: Boyer A motion was made to keep C-21 as residential moderate. Change C-23 to Business Park, Keep C-25 designated as RL, C-27 as residential suburban, C-29, the consensus was to keep as RS. No changes necessary to C-31, because the plan essentially approves the development. Hearing no objections, it was so ordered. Following public participation the City Council reviewed and discussed each individual petition for changes to the General Plan Land Use Map. There was a request by Bonnie Sirkegian to change RL. A request by Donnelly to retain RS. A request by Martinez to have a change to commercial neighborhood. It was moved by Darcy and seconded by McKeon to approve the Land Use Element of the General Plan with the recommended changes and additions. On roll call vote: Ayes: Darcy, Heidt, McKeon, Klajic Noes: None Motion carried.
