A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
�. CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA DECLARING THE
SUMMARY VACATION OF A PORTION OF CINEMA DRIVE,
APPROXIMATELY 750 FEET SOUTHEAST OF VALENCIA BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, a portion of right-of-way (Cinema Drive) approximately 750
feet southeast of Valencia Boulevard as described in Exhibit A and as shown by
the map in Exhibit B attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference, which real property is located in the vicinity of Santa Clarita
(Valencia) in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, is no longer
needed for present or prospective use based upon the following facts:
Cinema Drive is being extended to Bouquet Canyon Road as required by
the conditions of approval for Parent Parcel Map No. 16281; and the subject
right-of-way is an excess right-of-way due to street relocation and is not
required for street or highway purposes and the subject right-of-way is not
required for general public access or circulation or for a bicycle path or
trail.
WHEREAS, the Southern California Edison Company will retain an
easement for electrical line purposes over the property to be vacated and the
other utility companies have no objection to the vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation
Act of 1941," being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of
0' the State of California, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita,
California, does resolve, declare, determine, and order as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is hereby found and determined that the public
right-of-way in, over, and across said property for street and highway
purposes legally described in Exhibit A attached is hereby vacated pursuant to
Chapter 4, Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code, State of
California, commencing with Section 8330.
SECTION 2. That the public easements in, over, and across said
property for street and highway purposes legally described in Exhibit A
attached and shown in Exhibit B attached are vacated pursuant to Chapter 4,
Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code, State of California,
commencing with Section 8330; reserving and excepting therefrom an easement to
Southern California Edison Company for electrical line purposes over said
property to be vacated.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Santa Clarita is
hereby directed to record the certified original resolution in the office of
the Registrar -Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, at which time the area
vacated will no longer be a public street.

LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AS SHOWN ON MAP OF TRACT NO. 38318 FILED IN
BOOK 950, PAGES 39 AND 40, OF MAPS, RECORDS OF SAID COUNTY, DESCRIBED AS
FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEASTERLY TERMINUS OF THAT COURSE IN THE SOUTHWESTERLY
LINE OF LOT 9 OF SAID TRACT NO. 38318 SHOWN AS HAVING A BEARING AND DISTANCE
OF NORTH 58"20'37" WEST 179.21 FEET, SAID TERMINUS BEING AT THE BEGINNING OF A
TANGENT CURVE CONCAVE NORTHEASTERLY HAVING A RADIUS OF 90.00 FEET; THENCE
1. SOUTHEASTERLY ALONG SAID CURVE AND SAID SOUTHWESTERLY LINE THROUGH A
CENTRAL ANGLE OF 09°06'07" AN ARC DISTANCE OF 14.30 FEET;
2. TANGENT TO SAID CURVE SOUTH 67"27'04" EAST OF 50.00 FEET TO THE BEGINNING
OF A TANGENT CURVE CONCAVE SOUTHWESTERLY HAVING A RADIUS OF 76.00 FEET;
3. SOUTHEASTERLY ALONG SAID CURVE THROUGH A CENTRAL ANGLE OF 38"50'51" AN ARC
DISTANCE OF 51.53 FEET TO THE SOUTHEASTERLY PROLONGATION OF SAID
