A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA
REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
,... TO ACCEPT ON BEHALF OF SAID DISTRICT A TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE
OF STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS KNOWN AS PRIVATE DRAIN NOS. 1123 AND 1674
IN THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA FOR FUTURE OPERATION, MAINTENANCE,
REPAIR AND IMPROVEMENT, AND AUTHORIZE THE TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE THEREOF
WHEREAS, there have been dedicated to, or the City has otherwise
required, the storm drain improvements and drainage system known as Private
Drain Nos. 1123 and 1674, described in Ezhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City is authorised and empowered to transfer and convey
to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District any storm drain improvements
and drainage systems for future operation, maintenance, repair and
improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District
entered into an agreement dated March 14, 1989, and recorded August 22, 1989,
as Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official Records in the office of the
County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles, whereby the City made certain
warranties about its future transfers and conveyances of Flood Control
facilities to the District; and
WHEREAS, the best public interest will be served by transfer and
conveyance of the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in
Exhibit A attached hereto from the City to the Los Angeles County Flood
^ Control District for future operation, maintenance, repair and improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City does hereby request the
Loa Angeles County Flood Control District to accept the transfer and
conveyance of the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in
said Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, subject to the acceptance thereof of the
Board of Supervisors of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, the
City Engineer is directed and ordered to prepare all necessary instruments and
documents, including deed, to effectuate said transfer and conveyance, and
that the Mayor is authorised and instructed to execute said deed and other
instruments and documents. District shall have no obligation or
responsibility to maintain said storm drain, improvements, and drainage until
all rights-of-way for said drain now vested in the City and all other
necessary rights-of-way therefore have been conveyed to and accepted by
District.
Reference is hereby made to District Drawings Nos. 393-F12 and 393-F23.1-.4,
the plans and profile of said storm drain improvements and drainage system on
file in the office of the City Engineer and on file in the office of the Chief
Engineer of said District for further data as to the exact location, extent
and description of said storm drain improvements and drainage system.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the transfer and conveyance hereby
requested are subject to each of the warranties described in the Agreement
between the City and the District dated March 14, 1989, and recorded
August 22, 1989, as Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official Records in the
office of the County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles. Such warranties
by the City are incorporated here by this reference.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.

A reinforced concrete pipe storm drain system and appurtenant
structures for Tract Map No. 31116, filed in Book 816, pages 19 to
20, inclusive, of Maps, Records of the County of Los Angeles,
generally described as follows:
Line "A":
Commencing from an existing inlet structure per P.D. No. 1068,
Station 0 + 88.00, within Tournament Road; thence northerly to a 10'
and 12' wide easement for storm drain purposes; thence northerly,
westerly, northerly, northwesterly and westerly to an existing
manhole per D.S. 29, Station 17 + 05.82, a distance of 1,617 feet,
more or less.
Laterals "A-3" and A-7":
Connector pipes from Line "A" to catch basins within a 10 -foot
easement for storm drain purposes.

Private Drain No. 1674
A reinforced concrete pipe storm drain system and appurtenant
structures for Tract Map No. 42466, filed in Book 1006, pages 23 to
26, inclusive, of Maps, Records, of the County of Los Angeles,
generally described as follows:
Line "A":
Commencing from an existing manhole per P.D. No. 1123, Station
0 + 97.52, within a 10 -foot -wide easement for storm drain and storm
drain ingress and egress purposes. Thence northerly, easterly and
northwesterly within said easement to a catch basin, Station
8 + 85.62, a distance of 834 feet, more or less.
Laterals "A-1", "A-2" and""A-4":
Connector pipes from Line "A" to catch basins within a variable
width easement for storm drain purposes.
Lateral "A-3"-
0— A connector pipe from Line "A" to a series of catch basins within a
variable width easement for storm drain purposes.
