A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA
.•� REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
TO ACCEPT ON BEHALF OF SAID DISTRICT A TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE
OF STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS KNOWN AS PRIVATE DRAIN NO. 2106
IN THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA FOR FUTURE OPERATION, MAINTENANCE,
REPAIR AND IMPROVEMENT, AND AUTHORIZE THE TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, there have been dedicated to, or the City has otherwise
acquired, the storm drain improvements and drainage system known as Private
Drain.No. 2106, described in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City is authorized and empowered to transfer and convey to
the Los Angeles County Flood Control District any storm drain improvements and
drainage systems for future operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District
entered into an agreement dated March 14, 1989, and recorded August 22, 1989, as
Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official Records in the office of the County
Recorder for the County of Los Angeles, whereby the City made certain warranties
about its future transfers and conveyances of Flood Control facilities to the
District; and
WHEREAS, the best public interest will be served by transfer and
�^ conveyance of the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in
Exhibit A attached hereto from the City to the Los Angeles County Flood Control
District for future operation, maintenance, repair and improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City does hereby request the
Los Angeles County Flood Control District to accept the transfer and conveyance
of the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in said Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, subject to the acceptance thereof of the
Board of Supervisors of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, the City
Engineer is directed and ordered to prepare all necessary instruments and
documents, including deed, to effectuate said transfer and conveyance, and that
the Mayor is authorized and instructed to execute said deed and other
instruments and documents. District shall have no obligation or responsibility
to maintain said storm drain, improvements, and drainage until all rights-of-way
for said drain now vested in the City and all other necessary rights-of-way
therefore have been conveyed to and accepted by District.
Reference is hereby made to District Drawings Nos. 43-F 335.1-.6, the plans and
profile of said storm drain improvements and drainage system on file in the
office of the City Engineer and on file in the office of the Chief Engineer of
said District for further data as to the exact location, extent, and description
of said storm drain improvements and drainage system.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the transfer and conveyance hereby
requested are subject to each of the warranties described in the Agreement
between the City and the District dated March 14, 1989, and recorded August 22,
1989, as Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official Records in the office of
the County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles. Such warranties by the City
are incorporated here by this reference.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.

Private Drain No. 2106
A reinforced concrete pipe storm drain system and appurtenant structures for
Tract Map No. 44846 and 32306, filed in Book 1102, Pages 43 to 50 inclusive and
Book 1094, pages 1 to 8 inclusive, (respectively), of Maps, Records of the
County of Los Angeles, generally described as follows:
Line "A":
Commencing from an outlet structure located within a 10 foot wide and variable
width easement for covered storm drain, appurtenant structures, and ingress and
egress purposes approximately 250 feet west of the terminus of Lewendo Court;
thence easterly within last said easement to Lewendo Court; thence continuing
easterly within Lewendo Court to Haycreek Avenue; thence northerly within
Haycreek Avenue to a 10 foot wide easement for covered storm drain purposes;
thence easterly within last said easement to Audrey Court; thence northerly
within Audrey Court to a variable and 24 foot wide easement for covered storm
drain and appurtenant structures and ingress and egress purposes; thence
northerly within last said easement to an inlet structure, Station 14 + 10.00, a
distance of 1,377 feet more or less.
Lines "A-1", "A-2", "A-3", "A-411, "A-5":
Connector pipes from Line "A" to catch basins.
Line "B":
Commencing from a junction structure with Line "A," Station 0 + 85.41 (Line "B",
0 + 00.00); thence northeasterly within a variable width easement for covered
storm drain and appurtenant structures and ingress and egress purposes to Huffy
Street; thence northwesterly within Huffy Street to a variable width easement for
covered storm drain and appurtenant structures and ingress and egress purposes;
thence northwesterly and northerly within last said easement to an inlet
structure, Station 6 + 85.91, a distance of 686 feet more or less.
Laterals "B-11', "B-201:
Connector pipes from Line "B" to catch basins.
Line "C":
Commencing from an outlet structure located approximately 300 feet southeasterly
of High Point Place; thence northwesterly within a 10 foot and variable width
easement for covered storm drain and appurtenant structures and ingress and
egress purposes to High Pont Place; thence northwesterly across High Point Place
to a terminal catch basin, a distance of 367 feet more or less.
Line "C-1":
A connector pipe from Line "C" to a catch basin.
All as shown on District Drawing Nos. 43-F 335.1 through 43-F335.6.
