Last summer Parent/Child and Tot swim classes combined to bring in $8,930
which represented 37Z of the total summer lesson revenue.
The 92-93 aquatic budget. request increases Beginner classes by 30Z and adds
37 Tot.classes for summer 192. The projected additional revenue for the
extra Tot classes is $2,960 based on the current.$16 per person fee.
If Parent/Child and Tot classes were made free this year there would be a
potential revenue loss of $11,890 for FY 92-93. (Summer 191 Revenue $8,930
and $2,960 projected additional revenue for additions to Summer 192
program). The part-time staff salaries required to conduct Parent/Child and
Tot classes this summer will total an estimated $10,080. These staff
expenditures remain consistent even if no revenue is realized_ should_ these
lessons be offered for free.

Due to the current state of the City's budget limitations, staff recommends
the City Council maintain the aquatic fees as they currently stand.
