ISSUING THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE
FISCAL 90-91 TREE SPRAYING CONT$AC)n
PARKS AND RECREATION
The contract for tree pest control spraying throughout the City of Santa Clarita
per specifications has been completed to the satisfaction of the Director of
Parks and Recreation. The contractor who performed the work is Chemlawn
Corporation. As of July 2, 1991, all portions of the contractual agreement have
been inspected and satisfactorily completed.
Staff was reluctant to issue a Notice of Completion dueito a pending car damage
claim against the City and Contractor. However, since then the issue has been
resolved. Acting upon the advise of our- City Attorney, we are issuing the
Notice of Completion.
Once the Notice of Completion is properly endorsed, then the 10X contract
retention bond monies will be released to the contractor Chemlawn.
The account number for this project is 01-9200-227, with total project costs of
$42,690.00. All quantities and costs have been approved by the contractor and
the Director of Parks and Recreation.
It is recommended that the City Council accept the work performed by Chemlawn
Corporation, authorize release of surety bonds, and direct the City Clerk to
file the Notice of. Completion for the project.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF
PARKS AND RECREATION TREE SPRAYING PROJECT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Santa Clarita, California, has
caused a Tree Spraying Project to wit:
PROJECT - Street Tree Spraying
Fiscal 90-91
Pest control street tree spraying contract fiscal 90-91 for furnishing all
materials, equipment, tools, labor and performing all work necessary to
service and complete in a good workmanlike manner for the above stated project
as set forth in the plans, specifications and contract documents therefore on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Santa Clarita, the above
stated project was heretofore made and entered into with Chemlawn Corporation
on the 3rd day. of July, 1990, and filed for record in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Santa Clarita; that the work provided throughout the City
was actually completed on the 2nd day of July, 1991 and that the Director of
Parks and Recreation has notified the City Council that he has made and
completed a final inspection of the areas serviced, materials used and
completion of said project herein above more: particularly described and set
forth, and has certified in all the above provisions of the contract and
contract documents for the furnishing of all labor, services, materials and
equipment and the performing of all work necessary -for the completion of said
project above described have been fully complied with to his satisfaction as
required by contract documents; that -final acceptance of services- and
completion of said project above described was made on the 2nd day of July
1991.
