The County of Los Angeles Department of Regional Planning is.seeking qualified
individuals to serve on a voluntary basis on the Significant Ecological Areas
Technical Advisory Committee (SEATAC) and the Environmental Review Board (ERB).
The public notice from Regional Planning is. attached and includes the
qualifications.
It is recommended that City Council consider suggesting a member of the
community be appointed to SEATAC AND ERB Committee.

PUBLIC NOTICE
The County of Los.. Angeles Department of. Regional Planning is
currently seeking qualified individuals to serve on a voluntary
basis on the Significant Ecological Areas Technical Advisory
Committee (SEATAC) and the Environmental Review Board (ERB).
-"SEATAC and-the-ERB are technical advisory -bodies -to -,the Department-- -
of Regional Planning and the Regional Planning Commission regarding
- biological considerations in the review of development proposals
within Significant Ecological Areas. (SEA's) and environmentally
sensitive resources, in-Maiibu;-respeetively.�' -
Candidates for the positions must possess a high degree of
expertise and familiarity with the biological resources of the
County of Los Angeles and some knowledge of planning principles,
CEQA, and County government..
Selections may be made on an ongoing basis as -terms expire for
current members. The-ERB has at this time, not been formed and will
consist of a wholly new panel of experts. - - - - --- If you are interested in serving an any of these advisory bodies
please call Paula Rice at (213) 974-6461 and ask that an
application form be sent to you.
The deadline for receiving applications for the initial ERB panel
is March 30, 1992. Applications will continue to be accepted on an
ongoing basis however for any subsequent vacancies.
