This department is seeking qualified individuals to serve on a voluntary basis on the Significant Ecological Areas Technical Advisory Committee and the- Environmental Review Board. Application deadline to the Department of Regional Planning is March 30, 1992. The Council considered suggesting a member of the community be appointed. Applications were sent to four citizens recommended by the City Council. An advertisement was placed in the newspaper encouraging residents to apply for this position. Application deadline is March 23rd. Applications will be submitted to Councilmembers as they become available. RECOMMENDATION Review applications and appoint citizen for the Regional Planning application process. Santa Cruz in the environmental studies program. She was an excellent student and one of the leaders in many of the activities at Santa Cruz, particularly in the field of appropriate technology. Mary has a very good environmental education. She went on to graduate school with very good success. She combines her background and environmental studies with architecture and is now an architect.
