A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA,
REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL
DISTRICT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO
ACCEPT ON BEHALF OF SAID DISTRICT A TRANSFER
AND CONVEYANCE OF STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS KNOWN AS
PRIVATE DRAIN NO. 2165 IN THE CITY OF
SANTA CLARITA FOR FUTURE OPERATION, MAINTENANCE,
REPAIR AND IMPROVEMENT, AND AUTHORIZE THE TRANSFER
AND CONVEYANCE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, there have been dedicated to, or the City has otherwise
acquired, the storm drain improvements and drainage system known as
Private Drain No. 2165, described in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City is authorized
to the Los Angeles County Flood
improvements and drainage systems
repair, and improvement; and
and empowered to transfer and convey

for future operation, maintenance,
WHEREAS, the City and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District
entered into an agreement dated March 14, 1989, and recorded August 22,
1989, as Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official Records in the
office of the County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles, whereby the
City made certain warranties about its future transfers and conveyances
of Flood Control facilities to the District; and
WHEREAS, the best public interest will be served by transfer and
conveyance of the atom drain improvements and drainage system described
in Exhibit A attached hereto from the City to the Los Angles County Flood
Control District for future operation, maintenance, repair, and
improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City does hereby request the
Los Angeles County Flood Control District to accept the transfer and
conveyance of the storm drain improvements and drainage system described
in said Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, subject to the acceptance thereof of the
Board of Supervisors of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District,
the City Engineer is directed and ordered to prepare all necessary
instruments and documents, including deed, to effectuate said transfer
and conveyance, and that the Mayor is authorized and instructed to
execute said deed and other instruments and documents. District shall
have no obligation or responsibility to maintain said storm drain,
improvements, and drainage until all rights-of-way for said drain now
vested in the City and all other necessary rights-of-way therefore have
been conveyed to and accepted by District.
Reference is hereby made to District Drawings Nos. 337-F144.1-.4, the
plans and profile of said storm drain improvements and drainage system on
file in the office of the City Engineer and on file in the office of the
Chief Engineer of said District for further data as to the exact
location, extent, and description of said storm drain improvements and
drainage system.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the transfer and conveyance hereby
requested are subject to each of the warranties described in the
Agreement between the City and the District dated March 14, 1989, and
recorded August 22, 1989, as Document Number 89-1346418, of the Official
Records in the office of the County Recorder for the County of Los
Angeles. Such warranties by the City are incorporated here by this
reference.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.

A reinforced concrete pipe storm drain system and appurtenant structures for
Tract Map No._- 44458, filed in Book 1097, Pages 7-12, inclusive, of Maps,
Records of the County of Los Angeles, generally described as follows:
Line "A".
Commencing at an existing manhole structure per Private Drain No. 1596
Unit III, Station 1+00.00, within a 32 -foot, 52 -foot, and variable width
easement for storm drain and storm drain ingress and egress purposes; thence
southwesterly, southerly, and southwesterly to a manhole structure,
Station 5+05.28, a distance of 405 feet, more or less.
Laterals "A-1", "A-2" and NA -30:
Connector pipes from Line "A" to catch basins
Line "BN:
Commencing at existing R.C. Box per Private Drain No. 1596 Unit III,
Station 1+00.00, within a 32 -foot and variable width easement for storm drain
and storm drain ingress and egress purposes; thence southeasterly, and
southwesterly to a manhole structure, Station 30+60.00, a distance of
960 feet, more or less.
Laterals "B-1", "B-2", "B-3", "B -4N, and "B-5"
Connector pipes from Line "B" to catch basins.
All as shown on District Drawing Nos 337-F144.1 through 337-F144.4.
