To facilitate this process, staff advertised a Notice Inviting Bids in the Daily News and the Newhall Signal on August 12, August 15, and August 18, 1993 with a bid opening date of August 26, 1993. Staff also mailed copies of the Notice Inviting Bids to the Santa Clarita and Canyon Country Chambers of Commerce as well as (15) suppliers who submitted information for the supplier files in the General Services Division. Of the (15) suppliers notified, (11) were located within Santa Clarita. The following bids were received on August 26, 1993: SUPPLIER LOCATTO DISCO TOTAL Copycat Color Transfers Santa Clarita $29,919.53 $30,198.50 Manana Grafix Pasadena $31,013.63 Astro Awards & Apparel Santa Clarita $34,227.49 $34,546.63 Unique Marketing Santa Clarita $34,542.81 $34,864.89 Team Advantage San Diego SHORTS ONLY $7737.44 Although Team Advantage only submitted partial pricing, their price for shorts exceeds the pricing submitted by Copycat Color Transfers for the same item. Therefore, after reviewing all responses, staff recommends award of Bid GS -93-94-03 to Copycat Color Transfers as the lowest,� most -qualified bidder. RECOMMENDATION Direct staff to issue a purchase order to Copycat Color Transfers for youth/adult sports uniforms as specified in Bid GS -93-94-03 in the amount of $30,198.50. Item: APPROVED ua
