HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-06-22 - AGENDA REPORTS - CDBG SENIOR AGMT (2)AGENDA REPORT CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: June 22, 1993 City Ior Approval Ito o be presented by: Raquel Garcia SUBJECT: CDBG SENIOR CENTER AGREEMENT DEPARTMENT: PARKS, RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES BACKGROUND As part of the City's Final Statement for the 1993-94 year, the Santa Clarita Valley. Committee on Aging, SCVOA, Senior Center was approved for CDBG funding in the amount of $48,000. The services will provide assistance to low and moderate income senior citizens who are at risk of being institutionalized. The services of the program will focus on housing information and referrals, consumer education,comprehensive assessments, a housing resource manual and training. Included as part of the Agreement is EXHIBIT C: SCVOA Cost Allocation Plan for Indirect Costs. This plan is pending eligibility approval by the designated federal agency. As required by HUD OMB A-122, a cost allocation plan for indirect costs is a federal requirement of the subrecipient for the purpose of determining that costs will be allocated in a manner which results in the CDBG Program bearing its fair share of the total costs. RECOMMENDATION City Council to adopt Agreement, except eligibility of indirect cost allocation plan, and direct City Manager to execute Agreement for $48,000 with Santa Clarita Valley Committee on Aging for the provision of Senior Citizen Services.
