AT CANYON COUNTRY PARK (Project #25-99026-227)
DEPARTMENT: PARKS, RECREATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES
BACKGROUND
On July 1, 1993, the Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department successfully completed the bid
opening for two slope reinforcement projects at Canyon Country Park. The project is necessary due to the
severe slope damage suffered during the heavy rains of the last two years. The project will include wood
and metal reinforcements, as well as a soil compaction and inspection. The project is funded by the
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Construction is planned to begin in late July and work is to be completed within 30 working days. This
schedule will allow establishment of landscape material before the rains of fall and winter arrive.
There were three bids purchased for the slope reconstruction. One company, C.A. Rasmussan of Simi
Valley, elected not to bid on the project.
Below is a list of the other two companies who submitted bids for the July 1, 1993, opening.
