Formal Bid Award for Landscape Maintenance for FY 93/94
at Metrolink Station

BACKGROUND
Current bid requirements dictate the necessity of a formal bid for landscape maintenance for
Fiscal Year 1993-94. To facilitate this process, staff advertised a Notice Inviting Bids in the
Daily News and the Newhall Signal on August 11, August 15 and August 18, 1993, with a
bid. opening date of August 26, 1993. Staff also mailed copies of the Notice Inviting Bids to
the Santa Clarita and Canyon Country Chambers of Commerce as well as 17 suppliers who
submitted information for the supplier files in the General Services Division. The following
bids were received on August 26, 1993:

Staff has reviewed the responses and recommends award of GS 93-94-02 to A-1 Landscape ,
Maintenance as the lowest, most -qualified bidder.
RECOMMENDATION
Direct staff to issue a purchase order and authorize the Mayor to execute a contract for
landscape maintenance service at the Metrolink Station to A-1 Landscape. Maintenance as
specified in GS -93-94-02.
