Hardsy March 23, 1993 Ordinance No. 93-9, for approval of Zone Change No. 93-001 (Annexation No. 1990-04), and Resolution No. 93-24, for approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for the project DEPARTMENT: Community Development Zone Change No. 93.001 (Annexation No. 1990-04) Is proposed to bring the project area Into conformance with the City's recently adopted Unified Development Code (UDC); which became effective on December 24,1992. The project area consists of approximately 44 acres of vacant land located in the Sand Canyon area of the City, south of Iron Canyon Road, east of the eastern terminus of the proposed alignment for Warmsprings Drive, and north and west of the Angeles National Forest boundary (see attached map). Although the zoning terminology is different, standards within the existing and proposed zones are substantially consistent and, therefore, will not detrimentally affect land use In the area. Zone Change No. 93-001 has been reviewed pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and a Negative Declaration of no significant Impact Is proposed for the project. PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION Zone 7Change No. 93-001, in conjunction with Prezone No. 93-001 and Prezone No. 93-002, was submitted to the Planning Commission on February 16,1993. The Commission reviewed the three projects together and adopted Resolution No. P93.04, recommending that the Council approve the Negative Declaration prepared for the project, and adopt the appropriate new prezone and zone designations for the three project areas.
